Introduction: Scott is a solo instrumental pianist beyond the limits of workaday musicianship. From simple, clear melodies to complex, rolling waves of textured harmonies, Scott's music will make your event a cut above the rest. From music of the '60s to the most present-day, ranging from ballads to upbeat and lively, he will set a mood that makes your occasion memorable and special. Scott began playing professionally in 1978. His professional experience and background include live performance and studio work. He has recorded dozens of CD's and projects for major and indie labels, CMTV videos, ABC Sports, Warner Bros Discos (Latino), TV commercials, jingles, and performed for large venues, small piano bars and coffee shops. He has a background in Pop, R&B, New Age, Country, Rock, Jazz, Ambient, Worship, Gospel, Soul, Funk, Blues, Boogie, and even a little Broadway. He is currently a keyboardist for a mostly African-American church where he has served since 2007. He also plays for an Hispanic church, and even speaks Spanish (albeit slowly!). Let Scott help you make your party, wedding, cocktail hour, reception, convention, corporate event, funeral, memorial or celebration a success by bringing something beyond the ordinary. You'll find him very easy to work with, and his outgoing personality will make your guests feel welcome and at home. He will help you be the perfect event planner and host! NEW!!! See photos for the only available Grand Piano Shell in Dallas/Ft. Worth for both indoor and outdoors events. This makes having a Grand Piano at your event affordable--$250 instead of the standard $1200!!! Also, Wireless Mics and Sound System are available for $25 each.

Matthew, Scott’s sub/partner, was incredible. He played exactly the type of music we asked for. He was on time, kind, and observed the asked dress code. A talented musician! Grateful he was able to play for us on such short notice.

Scott's music added so much to my event. Several guests commented on how much they enjoyed it I also appreciated Scott working with me to plan the program and how responsive and easy to work with that he was. I will definitely call Scott again.

My husband and I were sent a list of recommended musicians from our venue. We initially chose Scott because of his wonderful reviews and responsiveness. Because our wedding was small, we were only looking at a total of four songs to play during the processional, unity candle, and recessional. Out of the four songs, two of them did not have sheet music accessible online. For a small fee, Scott offered to create the sheet music for those two songs so we could have them played at the wedding. Scott arrived about 45 minutes early which was perfect for our wedding; while guests were entering the venue, he played various love songs. Scott truly made our day a magical event!

Scott played at my wedding ceremony and he was incredible! We had a vocalist sing two songs and he played accompaniment for her as well as all of the ceremony music. Very professional and sounded amazing! He brought his own equipment so it was perfect for our venue. 1000% would recommend! Thank you Scott, you made our ceremony so very special and perfect.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am $100 the first hour, $80 the second hour, and $60 an hour after that, and $1 per mile from Allen to where your event is (so Dallas is about $25 and Ft. Worth is about $50, for example) My digital piano with an X Stand is free, and upright stand is $50, and my Grand Piano shell is $150, which looks like a real grand. I have wireless mics for $25 and speakers for $25 if you need them.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I arrive early, stay flexible, warm, friendly and easy to work with, and bring something special to every occasion.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Scott began playing professionally in 1978. His professional experience and background include live performance and studio work. He has recorded dozens of CD's and projects for major and indie labels, CMTV videos, ABC Sports, Warner Bros Discos (Latino), TV commercials, jingles, and performed for large venues, small piano bars and coffee shops. He plays Pop, R&B, New Age, Country, Rock, Jazz, Ambient, Worship, Gospel, Soul, Funk, Blues, Boogie, and even a little Broadway.
