About
I started JOY (Joyfully Organized You) as a way to help the organizationally challenged find order and JOY in their spaces. I love working with clients and helping them understand their relationship with "stuff" so they can move forward into a more organized future! From pantries and closets to dressers and jewelry boxes, there isn't a nook I haven't tackled! Working through the emotions around our things can be difficult! I lost my mother in 2006, and deciding what I wanted to keep in memory of her was challenging. If you are needing to downsize sentimental items, I have personal and professional experience in this highly sensitive area.

Lydia was absolutely amazing! She transformed my walk-in closet into a beautifully organized, functional space. She is extremely professional, detail-oriented, and personable—it felt effortless working with her. I’m beyond happy with the results and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get organized. Worth every penny!

Lydia is phenomenal! I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. She took my completely boxed up house and organized all of it beautifully. I scheduled several 3 hour days with her and she got more unpacked and organized than I could have in a week. She gave wonderful product recommendations, organized my closet, bathroom, pantry and more into works of art! I wish I had before photos but it was completely unlivable before she started. (These in progress/after photos do not do it justice!) It was a massive project and task and she did it with perfection and ease. Will use her to finish my house and for routine maintenance! I have already told my friends about her! Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Lydia is a fantastic organizer! She organized my entire kitchen and bedroom drawers and cabinets. I plan on using her again to help me downsize into a smaller house. The pictures are the before and after of my tiny pantry.

FAQs
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I'll usually start with a free 30-min. in home consultation. We talk about goals and the specific needs for their space. After that we discuss pricing structure and availability. I limit new clients to 2-hour sessions. Organizing is overwhelming for so many people and they get burned out! If I'm working on a project where the client isn't present, I can stay longer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I feel like I've been in training for this my entire life! Organizing feeds a part of my soul. I relate it to how some people feel about dance, music, or exercise. I just Love everything about the process! I am constantly learning more about organizing through books, shows, blogs, and friends and family!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am known for being very organized, and a friend invited me over to help her prep for a yard sale. During this process, I would point to a close that we hadn't gone through and ask "what's in there"? She was so trusting, and allowed me into her space! After that, it was just word of mouth!
