FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In this business, you get what you pay for. Just because someone can do the job for cheaper, doesn't mean it's going to be done well, or meet your expectations. I am admittedly not the cheapest, but I deliver on every promise I make. I like to work on a project basis to be fair to the client. If I underbid a job, or get suck in an area I wasn't expecting, it's not fair to the client to pay for the hours I'm attempting to fix the situation. For jobs that take under 5 hours, I charge $100 an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find great satisfaction beginning a project with a client. They have an idea and a goal to accomplish, and I get to be part of this journey! I love to discover the story behind the project, as it's in this story many insights are gained to assist in the design process. This also begins to reveal the needs of their target clients. I ask clients to come with a list of "must haves" and "it'd be cool if ____." It's helpful for clients to have websites/colors/functionalities they like as this gives me a box in which to be creative. Once these questions are answered, I begin working on the website with the client being as much or as little as they would like. The process continues from this depending on the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 11+ years of web design and IT work. I am also in school for networking and cyber-security. As a complimentary inclusion to every website, I install HTTPS & SSL and other security protections. I have two Masters Degrees from Baylor in Music and Divinity. - The is related to my work in the way I connect with clients, build rapport and understand what their needs. My musical training relates to the way I layout content on the screen with colors and fonts. Additionally, being a good musician requires an appreciation and attention to details.
