I have been playing guitar for the last 24 years and for the last 11 years it has been my sole profession. I am a singer, songwriter, performer, and most importantly a teacher. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to do what I love for a living and getting a chance to help fellow guitar players achieve their own personal goals in their playing. Originally I was skepitcal of the online teaching format, but now I have realized the experience is so much better! I have all of my equipment, piano, and visual aids are so easy with screen sharing. When I first started guitar, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing or where to begin. My mom suggested lessons, which I was skeptical about at first. I wasn't very open to getting help from someone else and felt a bit nervous about the face-to-face aspect of it. However, from my very first lesson, I knew that learning from Stevie would benefit my playing. He sets you off on the right foot, covering everything from technical skills to various genres of music. He is a reliable teacher who knows exactly when to step in and help, while still leaving room for you to make mistakes and learn how to correct them yourself. He is extremely professional, yet he's also someone you can connect with personally. Having Stevie as my teacher gives me the courage to continue practicing and improving my playing even outside of our lessons. I truly value the time I spend learning from him, and not following through with these lessons would’ve been something I would have regretted immensely.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My continuing education is not only ongoing but will continue for the rest of my life. I am always reading books, watching videos and working out theory on different instruments. This is truly my favorite part about music is that there will always be something to work on. Also I love the fact that there is rarely regression in musical ability. As long as you keep playing and learning you will always get better and never go backwards.
