Kat is great! Very warm and friendly. Although I did not need her services for long (due to a change in schedule), she is my go-to for future dog walking needs. Pros: Very genuine and friendly Great with dogs Little things like sending texts with pics and bringing my trash can up from the curb without me asking Great prices Cons: Could be too casual for some clients (I personally like it but if you're looking for a sleek polished business this is not it) Some miscommunication on how to handle our locks (to be fair, ours are complicated) so be sure to be extra specific

ATX Super Sitters has made my dog Bogart and I so happy since we've started using their services. With a new job, my schedule demands long, sometimes unconventional hours and I wouldn't be able to work with a clear conscious without knowing Bogart was taken care of while I am away. Shani and Mark are naturals with animals and always have my dog's best interests at heart. They go above and beyond making sure I am updated on any schedule changes, aware of any behavioral trends my dog is exhibiting, and ready to offer their advice whenever it is asked for. Of course, we all love our own pets, but it's really comforting to leave my dog in the hands of people that love him as well. I wouldn't use anyone else for my dog walking or boarding needs. ATX Super Sitters is fantastic.

We have used Pamper Ur Pet for about 2 months now. Due to a shift in our work schedule, there is one night during the week that our dog is stuck inside longer than we like. We started with the 30 minute pamper session and could not be happier. We know longer have to worry about a mess and our dog has her needs taken care of. Faith is fantastic and excellent with our dog.

Tiffany was wonderful with our old man (dog) Carl! He had some medical issues and needed attention throughout the day while we were at work. Tiffany went above and beyond to make sure his needs were met! Thank you Tiffany!

Samantha and Julie were great! We contacted Premier Pet TLC as the first on our list of possible sitters and we didn't have to look any further! From our first meet & greet, Samantha went out of her way to gain the trust of our loving fur babies. We had them come twice a day to walk our dog, change litter, and feed everybody, and stay overnight for 4 nights so our animals wouldn't get lonely. Samantha went above and beyond with our youngest cat, Toby, who has confidence issues. By the end of her stay, our normally very shy boy was coming out of his safe place to investigate and show her some love at dinner time. Their online portal is fantastic to use and makes it easy to schedule future visits. Through the portal, we were sent progress reports after each visit, which included photos and updates on how everybody was doing. We even got special Mother's Day greeting photos from each of our adorable pets! We loved Premier Pet TLC so much, that it was a joy to accept Samantha's offer for a behavioral session with Toby to help work on his kitty confidence, and we very much look forward to it. We will now always recommend Premier Pet TLC to anybody who asks, and if we could give an even higher rating we absolutely would. If you're looking for a caring sitter to take care of your pets while you're away, there is no better choice!

Our 2 dogs were groomed the same day I first called Pink Poodle. They were way overdue for a grooming and Pink Poodle had them looking like a million bucks! The owner. Diana Gonzales, is very friendly and quite pleasant. Her groomers did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the grooming and will take them there again.

Viri did a board and train for my 5 year old dog, Nona. Up until Viri took her in, she would not listen and was just very high energy. 2 weeks after leaving Nona with Viri she was a whole new dog. She learned multiple commands and actually holds those commands until told it is ok to move around. I'm giving Viri a 5 star rating because I never thought Nona had a chance to be an obedient dog until Viri gave her a chance. You can also tell she just has a way with dogs.

Amy has been jogging with our Doberman "Moose" for the last couple of months. Moose was a rescue dog and is quite shy around strangers and new surroundings. She has does an absolutely wonderful job with him and he now adores her. She has helped him tremendously with his socialization. I would highly recommend Amy or Germaine.

      About

Established in 2006 we offer dog boarding, daycare, and socialization at our homestead facility located 12 minutes Northeast of the airport on the outskirts of Austin, Texas. Our 5 shaded yards and 2 climate controlled kennel rooms sit adjacent to our home on 1.3 acres that backs up to the Colorado River. Dogs spend most of their time outdoors playing in compatible groups and take breaks indoors when the weather is undesirable and sleep in the kennel rooms at night. We are family-owned and operated, reasonably priced and our guest dogs love it here. Give us a call or email to set up a tour or reservation. Happy Tails, Annie Melvin/Owner

      About

We specialize in providing quality pet care at affordable prices. Hopefully you can fine the right package that fits your budget and your pets needs. We now offer ONE FREE WALK per day during pet sitting visits (weather permitting). Holiday weekends are regular price and no extra fees to worry about. If you received a coupon for one free visit(15 min)you must book at least three days in order to use the coupon. My husband and I have two dogs, a Miniature Schnauzer and a Siberian Husky. We also have a Cockatiel bird. Pet sitting is a full time job for me. I devote all my time to give your pets all the love and attention they need. I finally decided to do what I like best close to home. Have customers feel at ease knowing their pets are happier at home and keeping your pets active while you are away. Pets get bored when there is nothing to do just waiting for you to come home. Your pets will thank you for it. "Don't keep your doggy waiting by the window".

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a dog walker do?

We all know our dogs love going on long, adventure-filled walks, but jobs and family and commuting can make it difficult to give them the leash time they deserve. You can hire a professional dog walker to make sure your furry friend gets adequate exercise and outdoor time each day. A professional dog walker may be an individual contractor or work for a dedicated dog-walking company. In either case, you want to make sure the pro has the appropriate insurance in case of an emergency. Some people opt to give the dog walker a key to their house; others to have them pick up the dog from the yard. Dog walking can happen as often as multiple times per day, or just a few times a month as needed. Here are some questions to ask when you are interviewing a new dog walker:

      • Will you or someone else be walking my dog?
      • Do you have a backup plan if you can’t make it for a scheduled walk?
      • Will you walk my dog by itself, or do you walk several dogs at once?
      • What are your different walk routes?
      • When will you pick up and drop off?
      • How will we communicate?
      • Do I have to commit to a schedule or are you flexible?
      • What’s your cancellation policy?
      • What’s your response plan if my dog gets injured or becomes sick?
      • How and how often do I pay you?
      • Do you offer package pricing if I buy multiple dog walks up front?

How much do dog walkers charge?

The cost of dog walking depends on several factors including length and frequency of dog walks, the number of dogs on the walk, distance to your house, and any additional services you request. The national average cost range for a dog walk is $10-$20, but that price will vary based on where you live in the country and the regional cost of living and doing business.

The longer the dog walk, the higher your costs will be. Dog walkers offer a range of walk lengths, from 15-minute potty breaks to long hikes of 120 minutes or more. For example, a dog walker may charge $15 for a 15-minute walk and $35 for a 35-minute walk. Requesting that your dog be the only animal on the walk will typically mean a higher cost than if you permit your dog to be walked in a pack of dogs. You may be able to get a discounted rate if you have more than one dog to be walked. For example, a professional dog walker may charge $28 for one dog or $33 for two dogs on a 60-minute walk. If you need additional help — like feeding the dogs or giving them medication — dog walkers may be able to provide this service at an additional fee. Dog walkers may charge higher rates for walking your dogs on holidays.
