FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our rates are designed to make your pets care affordable and easy to plan. You can mix and match the length and number of visits you would like, to guarantee the best care for you babies at the most affordable rates. Pet Sitting and Day Care Visit rates are based on the length and time of your visits. Get any two 15/30/60 minute Pet Sit Visits in one day, and get a discounted $10 mid-day visit. The Day Care Visits are for people that are in town, at work or play, that need their pets to be cared for while they are away from the house. The Day Care Visits are a 20 minute visit scheduled Monday - Fridays between 10am and 6pm. These are $14 per visit. If you prepay for 30 days in advance, the rate is discounted to $12 per visit. Additional pet fee for extra pets may apply with any visit with 3 or more pets. Extra pet fees are based on additional walks, feedings, medications or other special instructions. There is no additional fee for medications unless there is a special handling fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A meet and greet consultation/interview. Here we get a chance to get to know one another and go over all of the specific needs and wants of you and your pets. For pet sitting we normally have the meeting at the owners home. Here we can do a tour of the property and go over all of the pet care and home care instructions. There are contracts and paperwork to fill out. These can be emailed in advance to save time. The consultations normally take 30-45 minutes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have owned pets my entire life. In the early 90's I soul searched to find that caring for pets is how I wanted to spend the rest of my life. This is when I decided to work at a boarding kennel in South Austin. The owner of this kennel owned over 30 show dogs that I cared for as well as a large growing client base of boarding pets. We boarded on average about 80 pets per night on weekend, over summer and holidays. I quickly became a manager and was happily employed with them for 15 years. While working with them I became a certified Pet Care Technician and have been certified in pet CPR and first aid since. In 2010 I decided to venture out on my own and started my pet care business, ECO-PAWS Pet Care.
