FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
typically pricing is by the hour one hour minimum and build in 15 minute increments thereafter. if trips to the hardware store are needed that time is included in the billing. I do charge for some of my supplies. if the job requires extensive driving I do charge by the mile at standard current rate. multiple skill jobs will be billed at that skills rate for the duration of that skill and a full accounting of the time spent on each skill will be maintained and provided to the client.. 10% discount to veterans active duty military, nurses, teachers with current ID or license card. my pricing is very competitive. a cancellation fee of 1 hour will be assessed if the client cancels or is not prepared the day of and I'm unable to work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to gather as much information as possible prior to showing up on site. I like to have a conversation either via text or phone call prior to our first meeting about the job and it's scope. if it's a large job my first visit maybe a consultation in which we will discuss supplies needed and formulate a plan. once a plan has been discussed and agreed upon a written agreement will be formulated and signed by both parties and a deposit may be required prior to the start of the project to cover the cost of supplies and security for the project.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been doing handyman stuff all my life. but I got into it making a business of it over 4 years ago when I could no longer stand working for other people.
