As a first time home buyer, let me be honest and say the process is quite intimidating, especially with the short deadlines. This is why I am so glad I found Rick, he took the time to come do a home inspection for me on Fathers Day Sunday without hesitation. He encourages buyers to meet with him during his inspection as he explains the process diligently. I had many questions for him, and he not only answered them all to my satisfaction but also gave me more input on things I would have never thought of. I would not hesitate to hire him again, because as people have their mechanics, people should also make an effort to try to find their inspectors. Rick is pure quality in my opinion.

Rick is very knowledgeable about the housing industry in Greater Austin Area. He is very cordial to work with. He described many things I missed in the walk through of my new home. He pointed out things even the building super didn't know. Rick gave advice according to latest building codes. So the builder is correcting two major issues that Rick found during this inspection. I almost didn't select Rick Madden because there were no reviews in Thumbtack app. You will be rewarded by choosing his services!

I had an excellent experience with Rick. He took his time to inspect, I met him up for an hour and he walked me through all concerns minor or major in the house. Before the end of the day he sent me a detailed report with pictures with all areas of concern that made it easier to go over with the seller.

Continuing education is critically important in the home inspection business. I attend classes regularly to increase my knowledge and stay current on any new development or changes in the industry. I am a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, the Austin Board of Realtors and the Williamson County Association of Realtors.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have been doing a lot of new home and one year warranty inspections in and around Austin lately.
