I rarely leave reviews but I had to for this one. (TLDR at the end)I had a frustrating idle issue with my 2005 GMC Envoy - engine would sputter, drop revs, and stall at lights unless I kept my foot on the gas. No check engine light, no codes, just a mystery. I reached out to Cam and from the start communication was fast, clear, and way above what I expected. He replied outside normal hours and got me scheduled same day.He came out to my job and worked on my car in the parking lot before my shift ended. Hooked up professional-grade diagnostics and even though everything looked fine on paper, he tracked it down to a failing throttle body motor. Same day he ran to AutoZone, grabbed the part, came back and replaced it. Only charged me for the part, diagnostic, and a very fair amount for labor. He also checked my suspension and other systems, pointed out things he noticed, and never tried to upsell me just honest info. I asked last minute about a brake fluid flush and he went ahead and did a full one after showing me the fluid was old.Later that night the idle issue started acting up again. I messaged him late expecting to hear back the next day but he responded that night. Despite a busy schedule he fit me in the very next morning and came out of his normal service area all the way to Leander just to help me out.That second visit is what really sold me. He rechecked everything and found an underlying O2 sensor issue that only became obvious after the throttle body was replaced. He went to three different parts stores to find one that had my sensor in stock and came back to install it. Did all of that free of charge for labor I only paid for the part. No extra diagnostic fee, no attitude, just a genuine effort to make it right.TLDR:Fast communication, same-day service, real diagnostic skill - not just reading codes - fair pricing, and above all honesty. He went way out of his way to stand behind his work and make sure my truck was actually fixed. Id recommend Cam to anyone who wants a mechanic they can actually trust.
