I want to update my review: I communicated with them after my rating. I “did not” confirm with a deposit after re-reading our texts, so he had every reason to cancel. He offered to send my job to other movers to help me.

Was great! Only thing not perfect was that they were quite a bit delayed, but it wasn’t their fault and they were communicating with me the whole time with updates. Planning to use again next month when we move my boyfriend. Thanks again!!!

Mombo did a great job for us on an apartment move with the new location being second floor. The owner was patient and had a quick response to my several advance questions via messaging. They arrived right on time, had a good plan for what order to load the truck, listened to any requests (like we wanted a carpet unloaded first at the new place). We appreciate the care they took with more fragile items. The move was planned for 2-hours, and we wondered if they might stall a bit to get into a 3rd hour charge. Not so! They worked speedily and finished in about 1 hour 45 minutes. No wasted time. Not a complaint - but a caution to those comparing rates between companies. In addition to the hourly rate, there may be a "truck charge". And some movers add "travel time". Mombo's time counted only onsite, no travel time to/from. They did have a $20 "truck charge". (Amount depends on distance.) I didn't initially understand that was PER HOUR, but it was apparent when the advance quote was a bit higher than my initial calculation. So I knew and agreed before booking. We would definitely use them again.
