THE MOVING KINGS is a group of friends used to work together for many professional moving companies. We found that we had something in common: The desire to help people, honesty, hard work and make our customers happy. That's how we opened our own business in March 2018. Our trucks are equipped with 70 blankets, dollies, door jambs, floor runners, tools, tape, stretch wrap, etc, at no extra cost for the customer. We are fully insured and bonded. We are not only dependable, fast and friendly folks. Our employees have been over 3 years in the moving business. THE MOVING KINGS understands that quality service begins with quality employees. Pricing: We do our best to be fair. Most of the time we will give an hourly rate, and you will have us for as long as you need us. We don't waste time. We get the job done. We know you won't be happy if we charge you more than you expect, and we want you to tell your friends about us, and bring your business back to us in the future. I had a great moving experience because of the great work done by Kay, James, Daniel, and Pyaistan. I had excellent communication throughout the scheduling of my move and I got a call when they were on their way. They were prompt and work very hard during the duration of loading and unloading making sure that I was satisfied throughout the process. All of my things were carefully wrapped and loaded to my specifications. They were friendly and courteous throughout the 5 1/2 hours in summer Texas heat. This was my best move! I highly recommend this company and will use them again.

The Moving Kings did a great job. They were fast, helpful and friendly. Our movers were Durell and James who were both efficient and pleasant. I highly recommend them. Jack, the owner, whom I initially spoke to was on point, he gave me a realistic timeline and was always available. He answered all my questions quickly, and was very helpful throughout the whole process. He checked in on us, and gave me a discount at the end because there was a minor technical issue with my bed. That was generous because these were already off season rates! The only gripe I do have is that my armoire legs got ruined, but it was an IKEA piece with their weird compacted wood, and it weighed a ton, so I think no matter who moved it, it was probably going to be damaged. If you have IKEA products they probably aren't going to make it through a move with zero damage so I don't actually blame the guys for this, I just want people to be aware that with cheap furniture that's bound to happen. Apart from that, as with most moves some of the furniture did have minor damage, like a hole through the fabric of the underside of my sofa, and a little wear and tear on the IKEA bed and dresser, but all things considered, they did a great job and we couldn't have done better!!!

I’ve moved quite often... from Houston to Dallas, Dallas to Austin and now Austin to Marble Falls. Best experience with moving I’ve ever had! Jack and Chris did an outstanding job and at an amazing price! Everything was packed with Tetris like skill. On top of that, I needed to take big furniture and boxes to THREE separate places and Jack was beyond accommodating! I had an estimate in my head as to how long everything would take and they came well under time. Trust me, book Jack and his team!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    The hourly rate carries a 2 hours minimum.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    During the booking proccess, just a couple of questions about how big is the move, any item that requieres special care, etc, so we can make sure to provide the right number of movers, trucks and tools. We will send you a quote with the hourly rate for 2-up to 6 movers, and you will have the choice to choose the hourly rate that works best for you. We will ask you some basic information as: 1. Full name. 2. Best phone number to contact you on the move day. 3. Starting and ending address. Once we receive that information, we will get back to you for the booking confirmation. It only takes a few minutes. Moving day: Our movers will give you a call at least 20 minutes before arrival. You are required to sign a contract before they start working on your move. Walk through with the client. (4 times) 1. At the loading address, to get an idea about the items that need to be moved, and the way to accomodate them in the truck. 2. Before leaving from the loading address, to make sure there is nothing left. 3. At the new place, before unloading the truck, to undesrtand where all the items need to go. 4. After unloading the truck, room by room, to make sure all the items were placed were they needed to go, after reassembling beds, furniture, etc. Our movers will check the back of the truck after they complete the move and before they leave, to make sure there is nothing left, but you should also check the back of the truck with them. You will also have direct contact with the owner before, during and after the move.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    College degree in economics, combined with some years of experience as a mover, and then manager. We only hire honest, dependable and hardworking movers with al least 3 years of experience in the moving business.
