Danny catered our wedding on Cape Cod, MA. We threw so many weird challenges his way by deciding not to use a traditional “venue,” and he took it all in stride. He was able to create exactly the experience we hoped to have for our friends and family. He is professional and fun to work with. We have had Danny help celebrate the most recent milestones in our family. One time at a private event hosted in a restaurant and one time at my parent's home. Each time he surpassed expectations with his amazing menus (we ALL still says his is the best crudo they have ever had!), wine pairings, service and hospitality. I had the pleasure of using Leave it to Kievit for an employee appreciation event recently. Chef Danny and his team helped with menu planning and the set up (heavy apps and cocktails) and executed a perfect experience. Everyone in the office was talking about the food the entire next week! I can’t thank you and your team enough for an incredible experience. We will be using Leave it to Kievit for all of our events moving forward. What an amazing person Chef Danny is. His passion for the culinary arts is unmatched. His love is seen from presentation to taste. I would highly recommend him for any meal service. Danny also has the personality to match! There are tons of good chefs out there but Danny's personal touches and personality complete the package that many chefs can't touch. Super fun guy to have in the kitchen. The other great thing about Danny is his knowledge and ability to prepare any style of cuisine. Be cautious if you want something different, because he will reach deep into his bag of tricks and prepare you something out of this world. We have people that are adventurous and those that keep it simple and Danny pleases them both as he always makes sure all palettes are satisfied. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Depending on the level of food and service desired will dictate the price of my services. I am available for an array of options. My focus will be that of "Meal Prepping" and for that it can vary. For a family of (4) that wants (4) days of meals regular service would be $300 charge + cost of groceries. This is an example and can go either way with more or less. Included in this cost is menu development, shopping for ingredients, preparation and reheating instructions, and cleanup. The level of the prep can be exactly what you desire. I also offer private dinner services from 2 to 20 people, and the minimum charge is $250. This can be plated to family style, and the options are endless.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First thing I like to do is to get to know who I am working with and to identify what they are looking for. I have some questions that I like to ask to understand their eating desires and if there are any dietary restrictions. From there I will develop and present a menu and we go from there. I want to build trust and loyalty that creates a long term relationship.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am classically trained in French Culinary techniques from culinary school as well as experience from working under several Executive Chefs. My background is deeply rooted in fine restaurants, and have worked from dishwasher to Directory of Culinary Operations as well as working in the service side.
