Athletic event or competition,
I started personal training with David in January and have made more progress in the past few months than I have in years. I tore my ACL in 2015 and after surgery I never really got back into a consistent strength training routine until now. David has kept me motivated and made me realize that my old injury doesn’t have to be an excuse. The corrective exercises and mini progressions have given me a lot more confidence with how I move now. I haven’t been this active in some time now so it’s been a great experience overall getting back at it.Mar 23, 2018Verified
David was very knowledgeable and conforms the workouts trailer to your personal needs. A very valuable and comfortable expierence. I highly recommend NW Fitness for all ages and levels of training.Mar 17, 2018Verified
I started attending training sessions with David Becker back in the late summer of 2014 after a friend of mine invited me to come check out the studio. To preface, I spent my full adolescence and young adulthood playing team sports, mostly soccer, so it was crucial to find a training platform that matched the high level of fitness and athleticism I was used to. The program David runs truly forces one to push themselves to the outer limits of personal growth and development both physically and mentally all while enjoying the process. My goals were simple from the beginning…Put on muscle mass and get strong. Easier said than done! However, if I haven’t convinced you that this is the ultimate training regiment, look at the results for yourself: Summer 2014 Height: 6’2” Weight: 153lbs Fall 2016 Height: 6’2” Weight 182lbs This isn’t rocket science. This is commitment. David is committed to his team. He is a truly phenomenal coach and trainer who, not only expects greatness from his team, but from his self as well. He is a “practice what you preach” kind of guy. David’s focus on fundamentals and form, as well as his desire to consistently drive and push goals, are what set his program above the competition. If you ARE ready to commit, set and follow goals, and make short-term sacrifices for long-term gains, then I would encourage you to reach out to David and get more details. We work hard, but we have a hell of a lot of fun doing it!Jun 21, 2017
This is the first time I worked with a personal trainer. It was with a group which made it a lot less intimidating. Some of the other guys in the group would bring up issues or questions I hadn't thought about, but there was still a direct line to David Becker if I needed it. Speaking of David; it's obvious he cared about our success and education. He was very thorough with the information about diet, exercise, motivation, form and pushing the workouts without injuring yourself. He acknowledged every post in the group. My life, health, attitude and approach to fitness have changed almost beyond comprehension, all for the better of course. It may seem simple to most but I felt a little overwhelmed with all of the information out there about health and fitness. David broke it down into simple steps with easy instructions. It really was easy to stick to the plan, with all of the support. I am 47 and I wish I could have done this 10 years ago. I feel like I hit a reset button on my health and attitude. Strong start to a new beginning! Can't stop, won't stop, get it get it!!! Thank You to everyone who is responsible for making this possible. You are doing amazing things to peoples lives. With appreciation Rick FielderJun 22, 2017
David is simply a superior trainer, extremely knowledgeable, organized and plans your sessions. He's a tuned in & focused pro - no cell phone peeks, doesn't allow interruptions, knows the subtle games clients use to slow the training session a bit to gain that extra rest (me :-) ); but if David knows you can take it, he just keeps expertly helping you along. He's focused on you, and you alone. If you have a specific goal in mind, he'll get you there; if you don't, he'll get you to your "there." Great man and trainer/coach.Mar 9, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?First session is free! Following the initial complimentary session, pricing is for (1) hour session and discounts are offered for packages of 6, 12, and 18 sessions. When considering pricing, know that personal training extends far past the in gym session. If you’re looking for a good workout, you can find that with about any competent trainer. Real progress is made when the other 23 hours of the day are taken into account. For me, this means a direct line of contact for questions and support, scripted training for non training days (cardio, recovery, traveling) nutrition counseling (meal planning, grocery lists, macro breakdown) and access to my online platform. My goal is to see you reach your goals and I give every available tool to make that possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I typically start with some basic questions either over the phone or through email to give me a little background on the client and their needs. This gives me a better idea on how to facilitate their free consultation once we schedule. This complementary session will consist of a movement assessment and a few other screening tools to help build your program. Not only will they get a great workout but also a full understanding of how the program works and what they can expect from the experience. I always leave them with some great takeaways dealing with fitness and nutrition to start implementing immediately even if they don't choose to continue with training.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? For nearly a decade, I've had the opportunity to deliver programs and services to members at my own training studio, Northwest Fitness, corporate gyms, private studios, therapy clinics, and the online community. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have also held numerous nationally accredited training certifications and specializations throughout my career. Most notably through NASM as a Certified Personal Trainer/Corrective Exercise Specialist and StrongFirst as a certified kettlebell instructor. My experience working alongside many influential mentors, coaches, educators, and organizations has been paramount to my success as a business owner and instructor.
