Valdone gave my son piano lessons from age 4 through 8. It was a great experience for both of us! In that time, he learned to read music, understand some music theory, and play songs that were often of his choosing. She's truly a great music teacher!

Valdone gave lessons to our daughter starting at 5 years old for 3.5 years. She was her first piano teacher. Our daughter loved having Valdone as a teacher making it fun as well as challenging for her. I think Valdone instilled a love of piano and music in our daughter. She is very nice and a great teacher. Very patient with children and works well with them.

Valdone was a great teacher to my oldest two children initially, and then subsequently my third child. With no prior musical experience, my kids needed a teacher who could keep them engaged during the lessons. Valdone did this to great effect, and my kids looked forward to their lessons each week (well, most of the time...they are young kids after all!). In addition, my son and I attended one of Valdone's recitals, and we were blown away by her skill and stage presence. Valdone was their teacher for more than two years, and we were all sad to see her leave Chicago.

Both of my daughters learned piano with Valdone for 4 years. If not because she moved to Austin, we would have continued our lessons with her. She is a wonderful teacher with great skills and works well with children.
