Joel and his crew did a great job removing the popcorn ceiling and repainting it. They projected that the project would take 2-3 days and they stayed within that timeline. The ceiling needed to be repainted with an oil base paint because my sheetrock was stained, Joel honored his price and repainted without any extra labor charge. Joel communicated well and even though there is no website and we did not sign a contract I would recommend Joel for his excellent work and value price.

Manuel, Handyman Walls, and his crew did an excellent job on this project which consisted of removing popcorn ceiling, retexturing and patching up the ceiling and walls. When you hire Manuel, you get someone that is diverse and has the ability to do things that are beyond the typical paint job. He was able to come up with solutions for some issues I wanted to address. He was able to take out an old return air filter vent of an unusual size and replace it with a new one of a normal size that required a little structural change. He finished out the tile in a bathroom and redid the thresholds. Installed some new fans as well. All of this was done in a timely manner. Manuel is flexible, competent, has a good eye for detail, and is passionate about delivering a fine quality of work.

Hugo and his team have been amazing to work with! He's always responsive, sent me update photos whenever I asked and made sure we were satisfied with everything. He's also a pleasant person and easy to work with. We initially hired him to paint all our interiors and remove popcorn ceilings. They did a great job and so we called them back to do our doors and trims as well. We increased the scope of the work midway and Hugo was extremely accommodating and flexible. He charged a very reasonable price compared to the insane quotes we were getting from other companies. Highly recommend!

Jamie was absolutely fantastic! He removed some popcorn, floated, retextured, primed and painted my ceilings. He did all of the work for a fair price and it looks soooo good!!!! He has great customer service skills as well. He kept me up to date with the project at all times. He also gave me some great references for some other work I needed done (I bought an older house that needs some work). I will literally only use him any time I need drywall work done in the future, and I absolutely cannot recommend him enough!

These guys did an OK job at a fair price. Their quote to remove the popcorn ceiling in my home was below other quotes and Mario was extraordinarily professional. They did the job quickly and without any delay or problems along the way. I would have loved to give them a higher rating, but unfortunately, some of the results were pretty sloppy and there was A LOT of clean-up work that I needed to do after they left (see photos). It's a good thing I wasn't actually living there at the time, because the clean-up effort took me ~4 days (vacuum everything, scrub the walls, remove ceiling dust from baseboards, window sills, door frames, light switches, etc.). It looked like maybe they just didn't put plastic over all of the walls or maybe they didn't seal up the plastic well enough, because there was dust everywhere. If you don't mind cleaning every inch of your home after they are done, then these guys will definitely give you a good deal, but otherwise, you might want to reconsider.

Quality: The finish they did was great! Matched other rooms very well. Getting a good texture match was important to me. Professionalism: Team was polite and courteous. Responsiveness: Joel always responded via Thumbtack quickly. I always knew the status of the work and when he thought they would be finished. Value: His bid was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. I find you get what you pay for -- and for the quality of work, what he bid was very reasonable. Punctuality: In general, very punctual. Our first day the team was a little late (got hung up at the supply store), but they hustled over as fast as they could. Otherwise, they finished when I expected they would. Other remarks: Popcorn removal is a messy process -- this case was no exception. While they did an admirable job covering the floors, and trying to minimize the impact, dust still got everywhere - even in parts of the house where they weren't working. There was also texture splatter here and there, but they cleaned it up without complaint. Expect that this process will require you paint your walls in the rooms where it is done. The ceiling will look so much nicer it will make your walls look awful. If you plan to paint your walls, wait and do popcorn removal first. :D They also were game to take on a little extra item here and there (we negotiated $$ as we went). Saved me from having to hire separate contractors later -- so that was a bonus. Having worked with a lot of sub-contractors and home improvement projects, the work was done very well. The dust / mess I can clean-up (and frankly, it was expected). Solid A overall.

Ricardo from Painting Time ATX did an excellent job with our Popcorn Removal and Interior Repainting job. Having never worked with a contractor before, I wanted someone professional, has great communication skills, positive online testimonials and reviews of their work and finally was competitive priced. After some searching we ended up finding Ricardo with Painting Time ATX. The first thing that impressed me was the call ahead a few hours before our initial meeting to confirm we were still on. This level of communication lasted throughout the project as he was very responsive via phone calls, emails and text. Ricardo's eye for detail and ownership of the project is commendable. During the project he took initiative to point out old wall sockets and phone jacks, he suggested they patched up. He also noticed a dip in our ceiling and suggested to replace it with new drywall. His team's patch work was fantastic and you wouldn't have known something was there beforehand. During our final walk through he pointed out small details that they were going to go back and refinish. At the end of the project the inside and driveway garage area was thoroughly cleaned up and ready for us to move in! I'll definitely be calling Ricardo up for any future work we need done on the house. You should call him as well!
