Introduction: Located in South Austin, Nine Muses directs students on a path to becoming better musicians. My instruction includes vocal techniques, breath support, musicality, music theory, vocal pedagogy, sight reading, and performance techniques. Recitals throughout the year offer a chance for each student to practice performing for an audience, and also provide an opportunity for family and friends to celebrate their progress. Confidence in singing comes from learning the intricacies of your own voice: How it works, how to use it, how to control it, and knowing how to fix things that may go wrong. Once technique is learned, a singer begins to truly understand their voice and what they're capable of. Once they have control, they have confidence. Once they have confidence, they're ready for that solo, ready for that audition, and ready for that big performance in front of hundreds of people. At Nine Muses Studio, we believe anyone can be a musician. If you have a passion for music and a willingness to learn, you can become a great singer. Whether you're aiming for a career as a musician, preparing for a big audition, planning to enter a competition, or want to be the best singer in your church choir, voice lessons can help you on your path to excellence. Nine Muses Studio teaches a variety of styles, including classical, musical theater, jazz, and various contemporary genres.

Singing Lessons

Kylah is just the most wonderful human, let alone voice coach. I was terrified to sing in front of anyone and she put me completely at ease. I recommend her highly to anyone, novice or experienced, who wants to get the most out of their voice.

Singing Lessons

We really enjoyed our time with Kylah (I still have one lesson on hold ;)). She got the high notes out of Olivia and her lead singing role was a huge success. She made us feel comfortable and knew just how to push my daughter to pull out the good notes! We will definitely go back. I might even fulfill a bucket list dream of my own and take a class or two!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons for $35, $50 and $65. I offer discounts to students who pay for groups of 3 or more lessons in advance-45/60 min lessons are reduced to $45/$55 per lesson.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First I make my students feel absolutely comfortable. I want everyone using their best voice so I work towards shaking out all those nerves that can creep in, causing tension and sometimes fear. I next listen to their voice and try to point out all the strong, beautiful things they're already doing, followed up with ideas for how I can help them be stronger. Then we choose repertoire because, let's face it, the real fun is when you're singing the songs you truly love!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Texas State University and a Master of Arts degree from Chapman University. I have been a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) since 2010
