David-James Nutter ("Dj") has been a teacher since January of 2013 in public, charter, and private schools, is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, and has been officiating weddings since 2017.

It would taKe several pages to talk about all the things that DJ got right for us and how much we really appreciate him. To start, I had another officiant reach out via Txt and When I called and said I cant TXT because I hurt my shoulder so I cant hold my phone right now, Can we TALK She just kept right on texting. DJS FIRST message said simply "I will call you in 10 Minutes". I understand that in this day and age everybody Texts about everything, but a wedding is personal and as such deserves a more personal approach in my view, like a phone call. From there he was just Lovely. He wrote us a beautiful Ceremony laced with poetry that suited us so well. He was kind, considerate, and compassionate. When he arrived, he looked like he stepped out of a high fashion Magazine, pure elegance. Our Ceremony was partially remote, I was present with a friend to bear witness, and my fiance was Oversees with his family. When he arrives here, We will definitely have DJ perform an in person Ceremony for us. I married a Lovely Man, and we chose a lovely man to officiate our wedding. Thank you DJ.

DJ was such a joy to work with! Throughout the entirety of our planning, he was professional, responsive, and so incredibly personable and kind. On our first phone call, he presented us with multiple recommendations on poems and excerpts that we could use in our script based on the vibe that we were aiming for. From there, he was super receptive to any changes that we wanted and was so quick to hop on a call whenever I had a question or wanted to go over things. The final draft came together so beautifully and DJ did a wonderful job presenting it out during the ceremony. Overall, we loved working with DJ and recommend him to anyone who is looking for an officiant in central Austin!

DJ was wonderful! My brother was going to officiate our wedding, but got Covid the day before our ceremony. We found DJ, and he enthusiastically agreed to officiate! He read the script my brother created with so much charisma. DJ brought the words to life, and was a sweet part of our special day. He’s punctual, professional and prepared even with such short notice. Highly recommend! Thank you, DJ! ♥️
