He was brilliant. Truly the easiest and smartest part of the planning process was hiring DJ. Hassel free. I appreciated his timely responses and he CATERED to my needs with such care. DJ was such a joy to work with! Throughout the entirety of our planning, he was professional, responsive, and so incredibly personable and kind.
On our first phone call, he presented us with multiple recommendations on poems and excerpts that we could use in our script based on the vibe that we were aiming for. From there, he was super receptive to any changes that we wanted and was so quick to hop on a call whenever I had a question or wanted to go over things. The final draft came together so beautifully and DJ did a wonderful job presenting it out during the ceremony.
Overall, we loved working with DJ and recommend him to anyone who is looking for an officiant in central Austin!
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
NEW's pricing ranges from $200 to $300. Pricing is dependent upon officiant's commute time to ceremony venue. Commute of 0-30 minutes is $200; 30-60 minutes is $250; over 60-minute commute is $300.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
NEW will first message you via Thumbtack, then will promptly call you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A. in English from UT-Austin. Teacher since January of 2013. Officiant since October of 2017.
