I personally had a bad experience with this company. First, I’ll highlight what they did right. They responded to my injury really fast. Set an appointment next day, confirmed the fee for coming out and that it would be waived if I chose them to fix my issue. The tech was on time and provided updates on when he would arrive within the original 3 hr window. Where it went wrong was the tech telling me that one of my parts for replacement (control panel for a dishwasher) was discontinued and they could no longer obtain it. I was surprised, given my dishwasher is not even two years old. I asked the tech if he was sure bc I saw the part through whirlpools site after searching the part number, and he told me I could contact whirlpool confirm but he was sure. I contacted whirlpool. They confirmed what I saw on the parts website, the part was very much not discontinued and available for purchase. It was on back order, and I could order the part and not have to pay until it was shipped out to me (1-2 weeks). I let the tech know about this - and then he told me he had contacted their supplier macrone and they said it was discontinued. So I called Macrone, and they said the same thing as the whirlpool rep. The part is not discontinued, in stock there, but requires a special order request. The special order request came with a fee and would take about 10-15 days. After I let the tech know of the above, he fought me on the info and said it was discontinued, special orders take months not weeks and said I was better off buying a new dishwasher. He did provide alternative options, which I’ll add to the good of if I want to pay for the parts and wait for it, they will install it for me. Given how the tech had not been 100% upfront about the discontinued part, I even questioned the diagnosis. I called the customer service line to report this too, and they told me they would call me back. They didn’t. It took me calling not one, but two companies both provided by the tech at separate times to validate the part in question was not discontinued. I received no formal diagnosis email or receipt of the diagnosis fee I paid upfront. I shouldn’t have had to do that, and to be honest, I never would have and would Have just accepted the techs word if it wasn’t for the fact that the dishwasher was 1 year and 6 months old. I called another service company, they ordered the part for me, and the repair is scheduled.
