- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based off a few different things. Property size, extent of trimming/edging for property, if the customer wants clippings bagged and other things of that nature all go into consideration for pricing. With that said I rarely go above $50 per yard.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually it goes down like this: Customer contacts me with wants and needs for property. I come to the property for an on-site quote. If customer agrees to price then I set up a day for service. Customer is satisfied and decides to continue using Green Pastures for their lawn care needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was in the oilfield for about five years doing Coiled Tubing work and gotlaid off. So, in my spare time I started cutting my dad’s yard. One time his elderly neighbor came out and asked if I could start cutting his yard. The next time I mowed that neighbor’s yard his neighbor came out and asked me to start cutting his yard. So, I saw the potential in the business so I gave it a shot and signed up for a bunch of different “customer seeking pro” sites and it took off. This will be my fourth year in operation.
