Alexis M. says, "Pros: We were contacted by Adrian the same day we placed a request— this did not happen with the other companies we reached out to. Adrian was very pleasant and easy to work with. We let him know what we were looking for - complete removal of existing dirt & grass in our backyard, tilling, new sod installation, plus adding in a layer of organic compost that we purchased on our own. He was accommodating with all of our requests and even came out to check the backyard and soil before doing any work. The job ended up being a little tougher than expected- their sod cutter machine didn’t work and they only had a crew of 2 people to complete the job where 3+ might have been more appropriate. They ended up having to do everything manually by hand, but this didn’t compromise the quality of their work. The sod they laid down looks great! Cons: We were originally quoted $1700 for completion of the project, but ended up having to pay an extra $130 for an additional quarter pallet after the fact. Adrian realized the 2 pallets he ordered wouldn’t cover our entire backyard, but didn’t offer a solution to finish the project until we let him know we were frustrated. Had we not expressed our disappointment, he would have left our yard only 90% complete. This was a little annoying as we let him know the square footage of our yard upfront and expected the 2 pallets he said he needed to take care of the job. We felt it unfair to have to pay anything extra at all. We were told after the sod ran out on the first day that a pallet of sod could range from 400-460 sq ft. Since we had already let him know our backyard was 888sq ft, we felt he should have made certain there was enough from the beginning- even if this meant charging us a for 2.25 pallets vs 2. All in all Adrian and his team worked to find a solution and we are happy with the work they did for us. We would be happy to hire them again."See more
