He replaced some wood all around my house that had dry rot. He was very nice, friendly and very knowledgeable. He did very good work. He also repaired my patio cover which was in really bad shape. It looks great now. He put in my doggie door. I will definitely call him if I need anything else.
Dale installed a ceiling fan for me. He was on time, friendly, and knowledgeable. The install took only about an hour. I would definitely recommend Dale and I would hire him again for future home repair or install service.
Jason was great. He helped me with all my moving needs - heavy lifting, picture hanging, TV mounting and wall repair.
I asked for a drywall repair quote. He came with a couple of guys, and was ready to start work immediately. They did the job quietly and efficiently in just a couple of hours. The texturing match to existing work was excellent. Appropriate materials were used... concrete drywall board since the repair was in a bathroom. I would definitely call him again if I need drywall/ texturing.
Easy and Hassle free experience. Mr Ornelas came out and did a top notch, left my porch like it was brand new
Had a fence replaced. Did a great job at great price. Came in very close to the over the phone ,"site unseen quote'. Found a few things the builder had done that they had to work around, and explained it all to me ahead of time. Already asked him to price supplies to re-frame/weather seal a box window and replace a porch pillar.
Gerardo did a great job repairing my sagging gutters. He also let me know that the wood boards I thought were rotted were not and didn't need to be replaced. He also repaired cracks in the mortar in the brick on the house. He also sealed and caulked gutters in places where water was leaking. I would use him again for any gutter/house repair and will more than likely call him for any handyman work.
Josh was very professional and provided me with a quote to repair rotted door casing. Josh went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly and did not over sell repairs to me. I will more than likely be using him when other repairs pop up.
Dynamo Remodling exceeded my expectations. They were reasonable with their pricing and definitely delivered with quality work. I had started an outdoor kitchen and I hired them to finish out the trimming on the project, add an additional support beam, repair siding, and repair some of my soffit. They did all of the work in one day! I was so excited. I will definitely use them in the future.
We hired Rich to do some caulking and other general home repair/maintainance work. Rich was super professional friendly and reasonably price. Under promised and over delivered on his services. My wife told me I did a great job in selecting RC Construction, Will definitely hire him in the future.
Very happy with repair of patio door frame woodrot-good quality work.
Tim recently completed a large two home project for me. He and his crew definitely earned 100% of the 5 stars that I have listed for him. I don't always write long reviews, but I definitely wanted to take the time to write one for Sonshine Paint. Here's why and what you get with them: 1.) Professionalism and punctuality wrapped in a very engaging and joyful people. 2.) High quality work with high quality products in a highly detailed manner. 3.) High competency professionals who seek to understand your goals and can communicate options and suggestions clearly. 4.) Pricing is transparent and work timeline is accurate. 5.) The owner is on the job. 6.) No nonsense, no home repair hostage situation, no up-sell, no misquotes, no "I forgot", no "I didn't see". The quote did not change. When I added work, the quote for the added work was specifically noted and separated from the original quote. They were fair, moral, honest and transparent. I've experienced different painters in the past both as the home owner repairing life's wear and as new home buyer. Sonshine Paint stands apart from all the others in many instances. In the example of new homes or complete paint jobs, Sonshine Paint uses better long lasting products and a better application that exhibits a very tangible difference in quality. They also have a great attention to detail and sense of pride in their work so you will not find some ugly clump of texturing or a missed edge. Where the company really shined was one of the homes had some big drywall scuffs and cuts and I did not have the original paint to aid with a color match. Along with those challenges, the home had several rooms that required a color change from very dark to neutral. Sonshine executed the color change flawlessly and all of the areas that required retexturing were repaired in a manner exceeding expectation. Where Tim went way beyond expectations is in the color match. He could have easily given up, provided a close match and easily convinced me to paint more to make up for the missed match. Instead, Tim took several doors off, cut non-noticiable drywall pieces and made many trips to ensure a perfect match. His efforts saved several walls from being completely repainted thereby saving me money. With the fresh thick paint and the repairs the home looks better than when I bought it new. I also had the a lot of fencing stained at both homes. One fence was grayed with shards of stain left and looked horrible the other fence was faded even though the stain was 3 years old and covered with an additional coat of water seal. From staining in the past with normal water based stain, I figured that my fence was never going to look good again. Sonshine cleaned the fence thoroughly and used an oil based product to bring the life back into it. They used an expensive product, buy my fence looks perfect again and the finish should be very durable with the oil competent and there will be no need for a water seal. Can you find a cheaper quote on your paint work? You probably can, but I will stack all my chips on Tim that the quality and value will be greater with Sonshine Paint.
Rich was prepared and ready to do the work. He showed me before and after videos of the problem. The work was performed in a minimal amount of time and at a reasonable price. I would recommend him to others needing plumbing repairs.
Wow! Junior was absolutely fantastic to work with! The quality of his work was top notch, he is super respectful and professional, and we will absolutely be hiring him again. He fixed our ceiling drywall for us (among several repairs) and it looks brand new again. If you are considering hiring JLC Construction for your project, don't hesitate, go for it! You won't regret it.
He repaired our fence and replaced two light fixtures. Great job!
Dion Was Excellent In repairing some soffit/siding work I needed done. He knew exactly what I needed, and the work was exceptional! Very professional!
Great value. He took time to repair my sheetrock right. He put plastic on the carpet, did a couple "extra value" things beyond the agreed-on scope, and was polite. You can trust this guy.
I really enjoyed working with Luis. He came to basically do 3 jobs. Some electrical work, and repair a hole is some sheetrock in our ceiling. The job ran longer than expected due to some miscommunication, no big deal, but they stayed late to get the work completed the same day. They accommodated us while we had to work from home, and they were a lot of fun to chit chat with as the day went by. We really appreciated them staying to do tbe job and not drop everything to come back another day. I am looking forward to working with them in the future.
Jose provided me a guaranteed quote to fix my sprinkler issues. I was extremely happy about this because other quotes were coming in as a service call charge and then hourly rates. He asked if I minded if he came the same day at the end of the day and I was thrilled at the offer. He made the repairs on the two zones that were broken and opened som
Randy has done work at our house a couple of times. He replaced a bathroom faucet and that was a very difficult job due to the age and poor, corroded condition of the old faucet. It was hard to remove and it is a very cramped area he had to work in. He never complained and he did an excellent job! On another occasion he removed our dead garbage disposal and installed a new one. He was fast and fabulous! I have a list of other things I plan to have him work on. He is delightful to work with and highly skilled in all areas of home repair. He doesn't mind a tough job and he is fair in his pricing. Also, he is trustworthy which is very important when you are having work done inside your home. Hire Randy and see for yourself what a talented guy he is. You won't be sorry!
This was our first experience with hiring someone through Thumbtack and we were a bit apprehensive. And, admittedly, things didn’t get off to a smooth start. Luis came to the house to get the scope of the job and bid it. We walked him through everything we wanted and the original online bid doubled. That is why we understand that online bids are all but useless. Until a contractor sees the job, they should not bid it! We were told that it was a two day job, but when the worker arrived (Luis didn’t show up) he tried to cram it all in to one day. That made us more nervous, but as he got rolling, he realized that it would take two days as Luis had said. Then, after the worker was done for the first day, we walked the job. There was paint spill on the hardwood floors and one of the patch jobs looked like someone stuck bubble gum on the wall and painted over it. There was also a divot in one of the walls caused by a drawer shutting on it and pulling out the paint when it was opened. Later, Luis admitted that he had done that when he checked the work. I would have thought he’d have fixed it. We let Luis know of these things that needed fixing and he agreed that on day two, they’d be handled. When the workers came back on day two, they were a little late. But they showed up on a Sunday as promised so they get extra credit for that. Day 2 required repairs to door hinges that another contractor had “fixed” and the “fixed” again. But the guys from Tyler’s did it right. They pulled the door frame apart, reinforced the wood, and reassembled the whole thing. By the end of the work the door swings like it was new and you’d never know that it had been repaired. It looked great. After the guys left I found myself cleaning up a little paint and some door handles and a counter top. It sounds like there were problems, but the reality is that, as someone who hires contractors for a living, there’s no perfect contractor. There’s always a “punch list” of things that need to be fixed or finished. I’m handy enough to do some of the final cleanup on my own and it’s easier to do it than to schedule the contractor to come back. I give these guys Four Stars because the work has all been done very well. The workers didn’t hesitate to do what needed to be done. They aren’t lazy like others I have seen and there was no argument about touching things up. I don’t get hung up on the original online bid being lower than the final bid, because I didn’t supply photos or dimensions when I submitted my request for bids. We will be calling these guys again.
