I was quite leary about training again since I have a very bad knee issue, BUT, Joel knew exactly how to work with this issue. I've worked with 5 different personal trainers in the last 7 or so years and Joel is hands down the best, most creative trainer I've experienced! Joel Is knowledgeable, kind but tough at the same time...the perfect balance! Joel is hardworking, pleasant and innovative. He knows a lot about anatomy and I feel much stronger already. I am able to do so much more than I was 2 months ago! Thanks Joel :)Jan 31, 2020Verified

Where do I begin.... I remember feeling like I needed to make a change in my life and working out was definitely not a priority for me, but I was just uncomfortable with myself and my body. I wanted a trainer so I could work through those insecurities, and ultimately be and feel comfortable in my own skin. Whether it was divine timing or coincidence, intuitively I felt that I should train with Joel. A full year later, I am glad I made that decision as I not only trained with someone who really cared for my own personal well-being but also I found a friend in the process who helped me mature both psychologically and in a way spiritually through the process of learning more about my own body. Joel is not your typical trainer who will leave you feeling dry with little to no interaction, just there to collect some pay. Quite the opposite, he will help you reach your own personal goals, and keep you motivated through your journey, but you will find yourself with someone who is truly passionate in his field and a supportive friend/trainer who really does care for his clientele. I could not have made a better decision, and to this day, I still remember our sessions and cherish them! Hire this man, he's worth your time and money.Dec 9, 2020Verified

OUTSTANDING PERSONAL TRAINER!! I've worked with other trainers in the past and there is no comparison - he is by far the best. I work out with Joel in my building's gym and he is very creative and resourceful with the equipment at hand. The exercises he gives me are efficient and well thought out in that they work out several parts of the body at once. Joel is incredibly knowledgeable about exercise science, nutrition and the body. Not to mention, he is a pleasure to work out with: fun, motivating, interesting, professional and super smart! The sessions go by quickly. One day a week we have a boxing based session - great fun and an excellent workout! I've noticed many positive changes in my body after a very short time. I can't recommend Joel enough. I'm so happy to have found him!!Feb 16, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?A private gym on 57th between 9th and 10th, that I like to use, asks for $15 dollars for the session. Compare that to other private gyms asking for $30 in manhattan.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Getting to know each other is important to the client/trainer dynamic. Learning why you started, and what motivates you is what makes your goals mine. Fitness assessments are important to start our workouts at your perfect metabolic resistance. Readiness questionnaire will also assist in this task.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?1- I have a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Personal Trainer certificate. 2- I have an Associates in Science for Health Professions. 3- I’m working on my Bachelors in Exercise Science with a focus on physical therapy. 4- CPR/AED
