We hired Chuck to help our 17yr old son, Mark, prepare for his SAT and ACT. Chuck was always on time meeting my son which I love because I love punctuality. My son really liked Chuck and didn't mind meeting with him at all on his own time. Chuck was understanding to my son work schedule. Also, Chuck was able to give Mark ways of understanding the questions better so Mark can get through the questions thoroughly but faster and with confidence. His practice tests clearly showed the improvements that Chuck was helping him with.
Michael was prompt to respond. He was able to analyze where our daughter was in need of the most assistance and went right to work. I believe he will be able to help succeed in her classwork as well as her SAT/ACT goals.
Excellent SAT and ACT tutoring.
I took Michals 8-wk GRE class at ATX prep this fall and I had a very positive experience. As a working professional preparing for graduate school, preparing for the math portion of GRE test was an intimidating endeavor. Michal is extremely encouraging and supportive of his students while maintaining a laid-back teaching style. Hes also generous with his time and genuinely wants to see his students succeed. An exceptionally nice guy and great teacher! The only thing I would I didnt like about the class (and this may just be based on personal learning-preference) was that 2 or 3 of the 8-wk class classes were taught by another teacher named Chelsea. I thought the class she taught on the analytical essay was very helpful, but her math-teaching approach didn't work for me. When I left Michals classes, I left feeling confident about the material that was covered. I left Chelseas math feeling flustered and with unanswered questions. However, I was able to get those questions resolved before the end of the course. My overall experience was excellent and I would recommend this course to anyone who needs support preparing for the GRE.
According to Jenny, Chris is a genius! He's smart and funny and makes the SAT tutoring fun. As a parent, that's all I can ask for. Thanks!
Rose was on time well prepared and ready to go! We will continue to work with her on SAT prep.
Amanda is an amazing tutor and all around great life coach. She helped me with my papers for my English class and has helped me with test prep. Wonderful person.
very good tutor! Derek is great at simplifying hard to grasp concepts and at creating personalized SAT/ACT test taking strategies to your strengths and weaknesses in order to maximize the points collected.
I was failing. Period! I was at a loss on how to pass Economics. I was assigned Mr. Ramiro and we sat and he went over the syllabus, and he talked and questioned me a lot! The next meeting he had assignments for me, While I did them he would review my notes and give me additional homework. But he would give me practice exams. I was taking 12 hours plus tutoring and the homework was crazy. But Mr. Mata drilled me and explained everything at my level and not at the doctorate level so well I went from an "F" to a final grade of a "C". If I would have had him before midterms, I may have gotten a "B" or an "A"! And he is a tutor for other courses in which I will request his services! Paul D. Dr Cas is a great professor. I took her graduate econometrics class at Catholic University. She is very knowledgeable about econometrics with a lot of experience in the field; her classes are very structured and she always makes sure students understand the material. She is always available during office hours to discuss material/assignments. I would highly recommend her as a professor.
Actually I hired him for guitar lessons and tutoring for my niece. Since school has not started yet - only had guitar lesson. She liked it.
I have never used a tutor before, so I was apprehensive to use one recommended to me by my fellow student for my ACT. Having sat them before I really needed help to ensure I could raise my score. So I engaged Chelsea International. I am flipped over by the level of support I have received from them as a student and now realize what my friend was talking about, no wonder he was always doing so well. My ACT score came in above average at a 28 and I am really pleased. Thank you!
I had the honor of having Lauren Wiatrek as my freshman English teacher. She always goes above and beyond to make sure each individual student knew the material. She inspires her students everytime they walk into her classroom. She not only helps students excell in school, but also in life. Lauren Wiatrek is truly an outstanding teacher, but as well as a pure inspiration. I will always remember her, and all of the great impact she has had on my life.
Club Z! had really helped my son feel more confident about the SAT and also helped him learn a more effective way to study. The one on one tutoring that Club Z! offers is wonderful. Club Z! has changed my child's attitude about learning. They were great to work with and very flexible for my busy schedule. I appreciate everything Club Z! has done for my son and would highly recommend them!
Okay so i cant even tell anybody how good of a tutor matt was. Matt had been there for me through thick and thin in pre-cal. At the beginning it was a struggle but he was always there even to tell me the 2 x 2 is 4. Matt is an awesome guy and whoever he tutors is a lucky person.
Mr Latimer is a great teacher! He tutored me from basic English class to SAT preparation. He is very responsible and patient. He helped me a lot with my reading and writing assignments even now I’m in college. He is very knowledgeable that he could tell you all about the wars and Shakespeare. Those topics might not sound interesting, but his sense of humor could make them fascinating!
I used Megan as a personal tutor 2 years ago in my English class. She was amazing, I brought my grade up to an A from a C thanks to her. So I then decided to use her last year to get a professional resume done. Thanks to her very professional help, I managed to score a great job over three others. She even helped me prep for the interview.
Find out how to get into an Ivy League School and improve your SAT score by 300 points! My name is Elizabeth Varner. I graduated from St. Stephen's in 2007 and am currently a rising Senior at Columbia University in New York. This summer, I will be privately tutoring and teaching two classes for Ivy Insiders, an SAT test prep company. My students improve their SAT scores by an average of 300 points in just 2 weeks - that's 100 points per section. I also offer my students tips on how to get into Ivy League schools and schools that are equally selective and excellent. Tutoring is available by the hourly rate of $80 per hour or in a package. The 2 week class is $599 but can easily be reduced to a price that is within your budget. No one should have to forego SAT prep because he or she can't afford it. I will work with you to come up with a price that you can afford.
Ivy Insiders provides SAT, ACT and academic tutoring at a lower price than competing companies such as Kaplan and Princeton Review. Taught strictly by undergraduate students at top-ranked universities, Ivy Insiders implements a game theory approach to the SAT. Our instructors, having themselves scored in 99th percentile on the SAT, create a classroom and tutoring environment that is relatable and communicative. Historically, Ivy Insiders' students average an increase in 264 points and 4.4 points on the SAT and the ACT, respectively. Call or email me for more information. Thanks!
I'm a recent graduate of UT (3.8 GPA) and have tutored students of all levels in math. Last year I worked as an English teacher in China, working with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. I also tutor for the SAT. My own composite score was 2270, and I can give many helpful pointers, especially in the writing section.
My name is Merry Zide and I have been studying as a graduate student in the History Department at UT-Austin. I provide private tutoring in history, English, writing, and test prep for students of all ages. Learning how to read critically and write clearly tends to improve academic performance across the board. Students with strong reading and writing skills can absorb and communicate information effectively, even when they are not entirely familiar with the material. I have learned that mastering these basic skills is as important for college and graduate students as for elementary and high school students. When I tutor in particular subjects like History or English, I try to help students improve on basic study skills, and I emphasize relationships and critical thinking over memorization and rote learning.
Individual tutoring in SAT, GRE, GMAT, math subjects, English subjects, chemistry and physics is available for all students and athletic scholars at $50 per hour, with a 2-hour minimum per student.
