- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
An in-home consult is $120 for the hour. I offer package leash-reactivity walking services at five "walks" for $500 or ten for $1000. I am also available to check-in on your pups while you are away as well as just taking them for a stroll around the block on a daily basis (you can relax knowing your pup is being cared for by a professional in the comfort of their own home!).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, we will talk over the phone to establish what your household needs, see if I am the best fit for you and set an in-home consult time. The consultation lasts typically an hour to an hour and a half where I will advise you on some methods to achieve the desired behavior and show you some tricks of the trade. Upon completion of the consult, I am available for continued phone support at no additional cost! My leash-reactivity walking packages include me coming to pick-up your pup and working with them weekly on any leash-arousal issues they may have (barking at other dogs, people, etc). During these walks, we will go to public places (pet stores, parks, strip malls) and focus on classically conditioning them to seeing the presence of another pet or person as a positive thing. My sitting and walking services are more involved than most. I will reinforce or fine tune your dog's heel on walks and provide not only companionship and cuddles but also mental stimulation for all of my clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with dogs as a trainer and handler for over a decade. I was a kennel tech and worked up to kennel manager as well.
