FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of our programs are Private Lesson based. Dogs are a product of their environment and this means that sometimes we're doing things with our dogs that are accidentally creating or maintaining their issues. I assign homework to owners in between lessons so they don't accidentally undo the progress we're making. Haha For years I did Board and Trains but what I found is that the percentage of dogs that return back to how they were after they return back home, is astonishing. What's even more amazing is when I came for the follow up lesson, the dog began to act right again. The reason? Because the owner doesn't have to become proficient in how to work with their dogs to gain the progress. Since the product was not dependent upon the handling skills of the owner, the environment that was conducive of the problem, recreated it. That's why I'm so big on private lessons. We shifted to private lessons ONLY and saw a DRASTIC uptick in productivity and success. As far as rates go, we have single lessons, and multi lesson packages. For the multi lesson packages we carry a massive discount because we bundle them all together for maximum savings. So instead of billing you the single lesson rate over and over, we squish it into 1 bulk-discounted fee on the front end.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love talking with people to find out what all we can help with, and understand them and their needs better. Once I've gotten acquainted with this a little more, I can suggest the right package for them. I'm also a little old fashioned in that I like to connect with people.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
This is always such an interesting question to answer simply because there is no one nationally accredited dog trainer certification and I never attended a "school". I had an intensive intern/mentorship with a master trainer and that was transformative, for me. That said, I've always believed that dogs I've worked with were the best references and my reviews were the best credentials. 😊👍
