FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Walk prices for individual dogs are set, but families with more than one dog get a lower rate per dog. Pet sit/overnight stay prices are set for the most part. However I do offer discounted rates for longer stays(price goes down after 5 days) Grooming and baths are based on weight and condition of the coat. ***I also offer discounts for any foster dogs*** My pricing for poop removal is by yard size and number of dogs in the household.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost, it depends on the dog... So for pet sitting/walks I like to do a meet and greet to make sure I'm a good match for your fur baby. As for routine...It varies, for example, an elderly dog isn't going to have the same walk routine as a puppy, I wouldn't take a dog who's overly aggressive or especially timid to a dog park. As far as bathing a grooming go, meet and greet isn't necessary. And yes it depends on the dog as far as what they will tolerate also the condition of their coat etc. But for the most part what the client wants, the client gets.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
About 9 years ago I just got fed up with the restaurant industry so I accepted a job in a field I knew next to nothing about and had zero experience in. I became a kennel tech at a small dog daycare/boarding and grooming shop. I had finally found my "calling"... working with man's best friend is all I do now and I couldn't be happier 😁
