FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is not at all complicated. A service call is $125 for a licensed electrician and his helper. My fee is $95 per hour. I am happy to provide a written estimate for any work in excess of $500, I don't charge a penny for the estimate, and I will gladly stay until I have answered all the customer's questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Not only do I TAKE continuing education classes each year (four hours required per year), but I TEACH the master electrician's prep course for the IEC Dallas Trade School, as well as the four-year apprenticeship course.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been fascinated with electricity. My older brother, who was an electrical engineer, got me started on that. I have also loved working with my hands and building things since I was a very small child. This trade really fits my natural interests and talents.
