FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I regularly enroll in classes that focus on fit and fabric knowledge. I also follow trends and can usually translate many looks a client sees in a magazine or movie into something that suits his personal style and body type.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was once a journalist who wrote about fashion and style and I always volunteered to write menswear stories. I loved it. The details of men's clothing are inspiring and fun. Although I left journalism, I continued to help my male friends with their clothing needs. Now, I just happen to do it for a living.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most important job I do for my clients is get them into clothing that fits. Clients come to me the first time, because they are frustrated by blowsy waists and baggy underarms on the shirts they have purchased in the past. They get a shirt that fits, love it, and come back to me, because they appreciate that my jackets come in single-size increments for a better fit and my fabrics are made in fine Italian mills for longer wear over time.
