Introduction: I have a vast education in piano performance, including schools in three major cultural centers (Warsaw, Paris, New York). I am currently working on my PhD in piano performance at the University of North Texas. I have taught to diverse populations, including Europe, North Africa, New York and Texas. I accommodate everyone's requests regarding their abilities, talent and commitment level and treat each student as an individual. I love interacting with people. I love watching their musical development under my guidance. I love helping people express the creative side of their personality.

Liam has started teaching my daughter a few weeks ago. She is 11 and is advanced. We are very pleased with Liam’s style of teaching. He is energetic and fun teacher who instills appreciation of music and imparts good techniques. We would certainly recommend him to anyone who has always wanted to learn piano online.

Details: 10 - 13 years old • Yes, the student can read music • 4+ yrs of formal training • What the teacher recommends • Yes, the student has a piano • 45 minutes • My home, venue, etc. • Remotely (phone or internet)

For context, I’ve been playing piano for 27 years but only trained for the former half of those years. I wanted to start lessons again to regain and refine techniques. Liam is unequivocally not only a talented pianist, but also a highly effective teacher. Liam’s coaching delivers on helping you find the right balance between technical discipline and creative expression. He is also intentional about helping you work towards your goals – within a short timeframe, I was able to improve and grow tremendously. Lastly, I’d be remiss if I didn’t call out his ability to motivate and champion his students with patience and encouragement. Highly recommend Liam as a piano teacher for all levels!

Details: 26 - 44 years old • Yes, the student can read music • 4+ yrs of formal training • Classical • Yes, the student has a keyboard • 45 minutes • Remotely (phone or internet)

Having been away from the piano for a year and a half, I was ready to get back to my goal of learning to play. I am fortunate to have found Liam. I am an older adult student. What is clear to me is that Liam has an innate ability to adjust his teaching approach to different learners. He is patient, encouraging, and appropriately challenging. I always know what is expected of me from week to week. I am especially pleased with his choice of music which suits my preferences. I actually feel as if I am playing serious pieces at my beginner level. You won’t find a better teacher.

Details: 65 years or older • Yes, the student can read music • 0 - 2 yrs of formal training • Classical • Yes, the student has a piano • 30 minutes • At the pro’s location

Liam is an extremely talented pianist with very effective teaching methods. I recently joined his class a month ago and due to covid, our sessions have been online. He has made sure that the online lessons are as effective and interesting as his classroom ones. Liam is punctual and makes it a point to meet once a week. Based on my musical background and knowledge, Liam was able to adjust our lessons to the level of instruction that was necessary to meet our goals. Thanks to his positive and encouraging teaching style, lessons have always been enjoyable. I would certainly recommend him to any one who has always wanted to learn piano.

Details: 26 - 44 years old • Yes, the student can read music • No formal training; some self-taught experience • Classical • Yes, the student has a keyboard • 45 minutes • My home, venue, etc.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each student has unique needs. Duration and frequency of lessons, as well as cost, are tailored in a plan specific to each individual.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My philosophy is that every student learns through his or her unique method. I always try to balance a student's technical abilities with an equal emphasis on their sight reading skills. Scales and arpeggios are an important building block for students that I always emphasize.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am currently working on PhD in Piano Performance at The University of North Texas. I am taking Piano Pedagogy as my related field, which makes me uniquely suited to teach students in the art of performing piano. I received an artist diploma from the Juilliard School in New York City and hold a degree from the Frederic Chopin Institute of Music in Warsaw.
