Michael is an amazing human and wonderful sound engineer! Best coffee in Denton hands down. He was super helpful in helping my band get the sound we were looking for and will be trying to send more bands his way. Super professional. Record with him.

He's basically the best in Denton. His style combines rapid-pace DIY experimentalism with carefully considered hard/software choices. His production style is a great fit for virtually any genre of music, whether you're an avant garde sound collagist, Jazz Improv artist, or 3-piece rock band. He's also always 100% sober to the point where friends and I have come to the conclusion that his drug of choice IS Audio Work. (Possibly supplemented with Cat Pets.)

This is was my first time out-sourcing for mix and mastering. The experience started off a little rough around the edges, but we were only communicating through email. After improving communication with Michael through phone calls and in-person meetings, I could tell that he took his work seriously and wanted me to be satisfied with how it all turned out. He worked with my budget, gave me multiple options for revisions, and made sure he provided me with the final product that I wanted. The experience started with an online order for mix and mastering, and ended with me listening to the tracks at his studio and finalizing each one. It's not so often that you work with someone so dedicated in today's age.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Recording (tracking) is done by time which is usually either tracked in full days or hourly. Mixing and mastering is charged per song. Send me a message to request rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love being able to work with new clients especially if it is your first time to record. I always do my best to make you comfortable and feel confident. I can take your song and make it sound the best it can sound.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 18 years of experience with audio in various capacities. I have recorded hundreds of bands and thousands of songs and have experienced just about every situation possible. I have been voted "Best Studio Sound Engineer" by the public at the Denton Arts and Music Awards for 2017, 2018 and 2019.
