We had an under counter sink that had detached from the countertop. Mike assessed the situation, thoroughly cleaned the area and reglued the sink. He did a great job and his price was very fair.

Dan installed cabinets for me and did an amazing job. The cabinets were 2nd hand so I didn't know the layout but he was patient and came up with a great design.

Gamez Drywall and Repair installed a ceiling in my bathroom that had been previously removed and replaced all the walls. I wanted them to create a "box" in the ceiling to hold the base of my chandelier (to raise the chandelier higher). They understood exactly what I was trying to accomplish and did a great job. When they showed up I actually had a couple other surprise drywall projects since our initial meeting to discuss the estimate. They were flexible and accommodated the extra projects. They also completely textured the walls and ceiling in the powder room, fixed some recently created holes in my dining room ceiling and repopcorned to match the existing and installed a panel of drywall behind my upstairs toilet (the plumbing was recently rerouted and Sheetrock removed). When it came time for texture they offered me several techniques. I asked if they could replicate like the rest of the rooms to keep consistent and they did a great job of matching. The room looks exactly like the vision I had in my mind. They were very professional, showed up on time for the estimate meeting and also when they came back to do the work and their pricing was fair value for the work/services provided. I would hire/recommend again.

On site to give a quote within 24 hrs, and crew on site the following day, knocked my project out quickly and professionally, at the price agreed upon. A fair price, I might add. We had custom built in cabinets around refrigerator years ago, fridge died and we replaced it, but it did not quite fit the old spot. It was too wide (Legacy Trim enlarged the opening) and far shorter, leaving a huge gap. Legacy Trim built a new shelf that harmonizes with the existing cabinets, and is my new favorite part of the kitchen. I plan to use them again, and would recommend Legacy Trim and especially Brian.

Holly was my first responder on Thumbtack - that always makes a good impression. She's very nice on the phone. She sent Frank out to do a cabinet project. Frank was also very nice and friendly. He did a wonderful job and we were very satisfied when he was done. We would go back to Mr. Fixit Fast again.

Ever tackled a big remodel job for us and did an excellent job. He installed laminate floors throughout our home and remodeled our kitchen (painted cabinets, installed granite, and new backsplash). He also completed several painting projects (trim & bedrooms). He was easy to communicate with and finished the job within a reasonable amount of time.

I have used Watson Tile and Stone for two separate renovation projects in my Arlington home. I was so pleased with the quality of the first job that I did not hesitate to have them also do the second round. Whether you need help in picking out materials, finding American-made products, arranging for Habitat for Humanity to take away every usable discard, this company will do it all. My thanks to all the skilled craftsmen who took pride in their job - especially Luis for really creative tile design and James & son Jacob who put everything back together with real patience for my indecisions. When an accent color I chose turned out to be wrong, they cheerfully repainted for me. The painters carefully wrapped furniture and protected rugs and floors before and during the work. Cabinet design and staining were exceptional. All my inquiries were immediately answered. Bonded and insured of course - but these folks have an exceptional level of customer service - before, during and even after completion of work. Patsy went out of her way to make choices and ordering easy for me, and Angie escorted me through huge granite warehouses in search of the perfect slabs. You won't find this level of support in a "big box" store. I am a VERY happy and appreciative customer!

Larry was so helpful. He installed a cabinet for me on ceramic tiling in our master bathroom. He even went the extra mile and fixed the mistake I had originally made. Not only that but he came the same day I made the request. He was professional and courteous and I hope I get to use him in the future for some custom made cabinetry!

I quickly realized it was hard to find quality expert in cabinets who was willing to take "smaller" job. Long story short, I was very satisfied with CN Custom Cabinets and More: 1. I had empty cavity in our dry wall. I wanted custom cabinet which fit perfectly in the space matching rest of cabinets in the house 2. CN Custom Cabinets and More matched the style and color. Even though my floor was uneven and wall was not straight, custom cabinet would fitted perfectly. 3. Color was hard to match but they went out of their way to find the matching paint. 4. Lastly, price was very reasonable. I am sure pictures speak for them selves but I am very stratified with CN Custom Cabinets and More.

Spencer was very quick to respond to my quote request, and explained a lot of things while he was measuring. I ended up going with a custom cabinet maker - just because I wanted a certain paint color. But would have chosen Spencer - had it not been for the fact that he could not do a custom paint color.

What a great experience we had with Cuttonwood!! They were quick to respond to my inquire and met with me to TOTALLY catch the cabinetry vision for our home! The process along the way was great with updates on the progress. The finished product is completely breath taking! They did an amazing job and we are so blessed to have been matched up with Cuttonwood!! Curtis is the owner is the "Johnny on the Spot" He helped me throughout the entire process with his many years of expertise in the business. He wears a cowboy hat and my little kids knew him by that look. He wasn't wearing it one day when he came by and the question was asked by my kids, "Where is the Cowboy's hat?" Overall it was a great and smooth journey to have the custom cabinets designed, built and installed in our newly built dream home. They were the icing on the cake for sure! We couldn't be happier with a cabinet company. I strongly recommend you give them a call! God Bless!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new kitchen!!! I ordered a modern style kitchen with glass facades from Modern Concept in May, the kitchen arrived from Europe in less than 5 weeks and was delivered and installed in my new house in North Dallas without any issues. It is SPUR stylish cool looking and specially created for my kitchen and house design. I love automatic opening hardware on drawers and cabinets, glass facades look slick and very modern! All my friends and neighbors are very impressed by this design, quality, and especially absolutely affordable price! I could get IKEA MDF kitchen for price of this European glass beauty! So happy with my order from Modern Concept and would highly recommend this company and glass kitchen. You can email me if you want my review o recommendations.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    Do you tip cabinet installers?

In general, home service providers such as electricians, plumbers and contractors are professionals who don’t expect tips. They expect to do a job for you for the specific price they quoted. Of course, they may appreciate a tip for a job particularly well done or for which they’ve gone beyond what’s normally expected, such as completing the project early or under budget. Even better than a tip, it’s always appropriate to leave a positive review online after a good experience.

    How much is custom cabinetry?

Custom cabinets can be built for any room, including bedroom closets and built-in armoires. Measured carefully and built precisely, custom cabinetry can increase storage and beautify any room. The national average for building custom cabinets ranges from $500 to $1,200 per linear foot. The cost is highly variable because there are so many styles, colors, glazes and other options. In general, the linear footage of the cabinets, the materials used to build them, and the cost of the labor will determine the cost. Solid wood costs more than plywood and wood veneer, and costs vary among different types of wood; maple and cherry cabinets are more expensive than pine. Glass-front cabinets can cost more, as can decorative hinges, handles and door pulls, which can cost $2-$45 each; choose carefully to stay within your budget and pull off the exact look you’re going for. Some carpenters also charge for installation, on average $100 per cabinet box. Additional molding and trim, such as crown molding at the ceiling, cost an average of $70 per 8-foot section, and adding finished ends to exposed cabinets averages $100-$200.

How much does it cost to have kitchen cabinets installed?

In any kitchen, the cabinets are the main focus, so you want to make sure new or replacement cabinets are installed correctly. A professional carpenter can properly, securely mount new cabinets to the wall; the national average cost for this service is $7,725, although the cost varies widely depending on the type of cabinets, their material and their size, and the accessories you add. A typical fee is $70 per linear foot to remove existing cabinets and assemble and install new ones; the cost is less if you do the demolition and removal yourself. Stock cabinets are the least expensive to have installed, ranging from $75 to $400 each; semi-custom cabinets range from $150 to $900 each; and custom cabinets cost from $500 to $1,400 each. Wood cabinets are more expensive than those made from plywood or medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and finished with a laminate. Wood cabinets range in cost from $80 to $160 per linear foot. Laminate-finished cabinets cost $35 to $75 per linear foot, on average.
