We needed to find an SAT tutor for my daughter right away. I like the fact that Arbor Tutors allows you to switch tutors if you want to. Due to scheduling problem on our part, we ended up needing to switch to a different tutor. I simply sent an email and we immediately were given another tutor that fit into my daughter's new schedule. Outstanding service and very knowledgeable tutors.

Andrew is an excellent tutor. He has extensive knowledge in a wide range of subjects. From Precalculus to Differential Equations and Matrix Algebra, he makes the most out of the time spent with a student by preparing lessons that help the student understand the material with ease. He also challenges the student's thinking to ensure that the material is being learned accordingly. I recommend him as a tutor one hundred percent!

Carmen Boje is a very fantastic tutor. She has helped me with the Linux and Windows operating system as well as my first electronics class and statistics. She's a HUGE help and the type of tutor who does not give up on you. She has done so much for my success and for that I really thank and strongly recommend her!

About

I am in the process of completing my Ph.D. studies in Civil Engineering. I prepare students for FE exams and specific disciplines such as math, calculus, algebra, pre calculus, statistics, etc. If you need consultation and preparation on more specific civil engineering disciplines (e.g., fluid mechanics, transportation, structures, hydrology) I am happy to help on that as well.

Ms. Jodi has not only helped my daughter improve her grades but she has also shown her that learning can be fun, a lesson that is invaluable. I am very thankful to have found Learn For A Lifetime. When we began looking for a tutoring center we quickly realized we could not afford any of them, that is until we found Learn For A Lifetime. Ms. Jodi's prices and so reasonable and she has been willing to work with me during my financial hardship. I am so very thankful for her! She is one of the rare business owners whose heart is in it for the children, not the bottom line.

About

Hi! I have been an engineer in the field for over 24 years and have recently changed careers into the teaching field. I have completed the alternative certification program and have passed the math 4-8, math 7-12, and 4-8 generalist subject tests as per the no child left behind legislation. I am currently a substitute teacher, and I bring my engineering experience to the tutoring/education field. I have experience mentoring and training young engineers, and non-degreed personnel, so no student is too smart or ill-prepared for my taste! I have taught religious studies in my local church and have coached girls 7-12 city league basketball, so I am no stranger to working around the young adults of our community. I am patient, a very good listener, and have been told I have a gift for teaching the most complicated theories in the most simplest of forms that are very easy to understand. If you do not learn from my tutoring, your lesson is free, and I will grant you another free lesson in the hopes of better explaining those areas not fully grasped. I am willing to meet any accommodations or meet locals as requested. Please give me a try, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Thanks, and I hope to hear from you! Eduardo

About

About

I have taught 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th grades, and I homeschooled my three children from the 2nd grade through the 10th. I would be able to tutor children from 1st grade through 8th grade in any subject.

About

I teach calligraphy in script handwriting only. I also address envelopes in script for weddings and other special occasions, certificates, awards, announcements, family trees, etc. Beautiful handwriting provides a more favorable and professional appearance. Please call for billing quotes. My charges are reasonable. I also tutor mathematics for grades 5-8 like general math, pre-Algebra, and beginning Algebra. In 1988, I received an award from the National Science Foundation for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (State and National Awards). I love to teach middle school math. After having written my local public school's math curriculum for grades 5-8 over a period of 20 years, I have acquired much insight as to the concepts involved and the complexity at any given level. It is so much more meaningful if the student understands how the math is used in everyday life! My greatest accomplishments and rewards are those from the students and parents themselves, thanking me for making a difference in helping the students understand and be able to 'see' the mathematics involved in any mathematical situation. Math is all around us!
