MaryLou your family was the first to invite me into your home allow me to care for your nutrition and fitness needs. Thanks to you your family is healthier and your son has never looked better. You on the other hand is the most strongest woman in the class and you show your athleticism every week. Regardless of former injuries you continue to push yourself to every week. Others in the class are pushed by your tenacity and unwillingness to stop when the exercises get hard! When you started running was not an option now you are running again, and doing multiple fitness workouts in a day. You are in great shape and what others strive to be. I love training with Scott! Not only is he just a super nice guy, but he has an amazing ability to push you to your physical limits in a positive and uplifting way. He took the time to sit with me and ask about my diet and goals and then developed a diet plan and workout JUST FOR ME. He’s honest without being condescending, and he knows his stuff! For me, it was a great experience training with him. I got stronger, my body muscles are more defined, and my waist line is smaller. I look and feel alot better than before I started training with him. He is excellent . He also talks about the importance of nutrions during training. I have never trained a woman that has had the most skeletal muscular percentage and the least bodyfat percentage in my whole career. The fact that you knew this about yourself and still wanted to keep striving to be a better and chose me to do it with you, totally floored me! You are a wonderful person and you help the community and your friends in so many ways, I just wanted to pay it forward and return the favor as much as I could. I have been training/working out with Scott of SMK for over a year now and I can’t even begin to describe how it’s changed my life. Scott is the best coach I’ve ever worked with. Thank you for those kind words and you are the best client a trainer could have because you are motivated even on the bad days and you dont allow yourself to use life as a crutch. You are an inspiration to those who have watched you train. I envy you simply because you have so much tenacity and you attack our workouts like your life depends on it. When I sometimes think twice about an exercise your are like "lets do it"! That type of attitude and warrior spirit is only found in a few and you embody the very essence of it.
I’ve always loved to exercise, but two years ago I had surgery to repair my right rotator cuff and bicep tear and currently have a torn tendon in my left shoulder. I went to Scott, the trainer at my local YWCA for expert advice on overall strength training without further injury. I signed up with Scott for two rounds of workouts (16 workouts in total, and I went twice a week). I am so pleased with Scott’s professionalism, knowledge and concern for just the right exercises to increase my strength and avoid further injury. When I began with Scott, I had just received my first cortisone shot to left shoulder and I haven’t had to return for the next shot because of pain. Scott’s workouts have increased my upper body strength, avoided any further injury and I’ve seen definition to both my upper and lower body. At my last appointment my doctor was pleased with the increased range of motion in both arms. All due to Scott’s great training. Even though our one on one training sessions are complete, I’m more than prepared to continue the workouts on my own. Scott has given me written handouts of each workout we’ve done and is available at the gym if I have any questions. Here’s to feeling great and knowledgeable for the road ahead! Thank you kindly for the encouraging word but I didn't do it all myself! You didnt let anything stop you from getting stronger and you didn't give up when you felt discomfort in your shoulder and your knee. You stuck to your eating habits and you did extra workouts on your own. It was a pleasure to work with you because you adapted to every workout and you gave everything I asked of you a chance to see it through. I enjoyed our sessions together because you made it easy with your can do attitude and sheer athletic ability! Again it was a pleasure, keep hitting the weights! Strong bodies dont quit!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?My pricing is flexible. It can either be paid in cash or card. You can pay for daily sessions or for weekly to monthly sessions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First you tell me when you are available, my availability is irrelevant I will make time for you regardless of what I am doing. Next we will meet at the gym I work at and we will do the consultation and discuss your goals etc. The 1st session consists of measurements and a fitness evaluation to get to know each other, and learn more about an exercise experience. From there I can prescribe an exercise program designed specifically for you. You will have supervised exercise and one on one attention to make sure you are using proper form, allowing you to get the most from your workout and avoid injury.
