Introduction: I am a retired physician who is now substitute teaching in the FWISD.
I primarily teach math subjects, such as algebra, trigonometry, calculus and geometry plus high school-level physics, chemistry, etc.
I am also able to assist with writing and language. My undergraduate major was engineering with math. I passed the Engineer-in-Training test, a comprehensive 8-hour exam. With my background, I am able to teach a range of subjects to include college level math courses.

This tutor is great! He tutored my son in Algebra 2 this semester and helped him go from barely passing tests to an A on the final. Patient, supportive, flexible. I highly recommend him for any struggling Math students and will use his services again without reservation!

Dr. Payne is great with the tutoring. We started with him for our first kid who was losing focus in Math and she is back on track doing her best. It's nice to see him work patiently with the kids to teach them the concepts and increase their interest. My younger one also started working with him this school year and they both have a better attitude towards learning, checking their work and wanting to excel. He has been helping my children with both science and math. I highly recommend him for children that needs help.
