FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The hourly recording studio rate is $35.00 per hour. Three hour block studio rate is $90.00. Music lessons or Audio and Recording Tech lessons are $25.00 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In an initial conversation on the phone I will learn what product the customer wants to create and will explain in detail how my services and studio tools can help them create that product. Depending on the customer's experience and knowledge of the recording process I will explain different recording options and cost effective solutions for them to consider. The next step is to make an appointment to see the studio and finalize the strategy for completing their project and finally reserving the studio time needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in music at the University of Texas in Arlington. After college I performed in professional music groups and obtained the equipment to record demos and live performances for them. These groups also recorded in professional recording studios where I learned their recording techniques. Continuing in the recording field I completed a recording course at a professional studio and school in Arlington, TX and later assisted a recording engineer/producer in Fort Worth, TX for several years. Most of my current education comes from online courses and a multitude of articles offering recording technics, ideas and tips from professionals in the music industry that I subscribe to. Owning a studio allows me the hands-on experience needed to make all of that information practical and useful.
