- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For the last 15 yrs I have been a commercial truck driver. In September I had some problems with my CDL that resulted in me loosing my job. I decided to change professions but wasn't real sure on what to do next and I was having trouble finding work doing anything other than driving. One day my mother asked if I would be willing to paint a couple of rooms in her home and she would pay me for it. So, I did and she was so pleased with my work, she started telling her friends and other family members about the job I did. This resulted in me getting more offers to do other jobs because before I started driving I had worked in several different fields of construction. Then I found Thumbtack and decided to hire myself insted of waiting on someone to hire me.
