Introduction: When I first started shooting, I discovered a love for photographing landscapes, nature, flowers, and sunsets. This love was rooted in my search for God. God is the creator of all things. In fact, the Bible states "Since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made." When viewing any work of art, you can always see the artist. When photographing a sunset, I don't just see a sunset but rather the artist. For me photography is the discovery of the greatest artist of all. I was a part of a group of photographers talking about photography as a business. At the time, it seemed that one of the best ways to make money in photography was portrait photography. I was hesitant at first to shoot portraits, but as I thought about it, I realized that God's greatest creation was and is His people. In fact, He created us in His image. Now I have a new quest: to find the personality and the essence of God. With every portrait that I capture, I am not capturing just a face but rather I am finding the beauty of God. When I look through my lens and see you, I see not only you but a beauty that surpasses that of a sunrise. As an artist, a photographer and a dad, I have decided to center my business around children. There is something that is so honest and pure in a child's face that captivates me. There is nothing more fulfilling than delivering portrait to a mom and watch her eyes brim with tears as she whispers "My Baby." Growing Up: My photography beginnings were rooted in a darkroom processing black-and-white film and creating B&W prints. Today, I have an image hanging on my wall that I printed about 35 years ago. I have taken techniques from the past that I used in a darkroom and incorporated them into the digital world. My product line is centered around black-and-white portraits. Black-and-white images are timeless. A black-and-white portrait taken today frames the beauty and elegance of the past and preserves the now for the future. As your photographer, it is my quest to capture the texture of life. My lens capture a moment in time that endures for multiple lifetimes. I am a dad who loves to photograph children for parents who cherish memories.
