I contracted this company to move me from Frisco, TX to Bradenton, FL. My house was already packed when the movers came, and all that was for them to do was to load, move and unload. The team showed up on time. However they did not bring a big enough truck and left some of my belongings behind. In addition, a number of items were damaged. Doug was proud of his packing of the truck, however not everything fit, and the items toward the rear were more or less thrown in. The team that moved me was good - they drove through to Bradenton and were there when they said they would be. They were professional and pleasant. After unloading, I inspected my belongings and made careful note of all damage including pictures and good-faith estimates of repair or replacement cost. I filed a detailed, itemized claim for my damage. I was told that the claim was out of the company's hands and would be resolved in 4-6 weeks. It took several weeks of asking (beyond the 6) before I finally got a resolution. What I received was a letter from the company's staff accountant dismissing most of my claim along with a check for roughly 20% of the damages. I responded with a detailed rebuttal and was told that it would be re-evaluated, this time by an outside company, and that I would have a response within a week. After 3 weeks I got a notice, again from the staff accountant, stating that the payout was fair and complete and that the file was closed. I asked repeatedly for the name of the outside company that adjusted my claim and never received any response, until today when I received an email from Doug stating "Chirs (sic), I decline to provide you with any further information. The file is closed." In short, this company was ill-equipped to handle my job. They damaged several items including some antiques. They said they were not responsible for some items that were not specifically listed in the exclusions. They have not been honest in dealing with my claims. They have not responded in a timely manner. As a follow-up: After several weeks of attempting to resolve my claim directly with Doug, I filed a review on Google, at which point the company blocked display of reviews. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. After the Google review was filed, Doug contacted me, finally ready to work on a fair settlement. His condition was that he would settle with me AFTER I removed the Google review. I gave my word that I would remove it after he settled, but that it was too hard to get any response from him for me to remove the review up front. This company is extremely difficult to work with. In short, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! For more details, see my review on Angie's List.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I was very happy with the moving service I received from Legacy Moving Services in Frisco, TX. The movers were really easy to work with. We downsized our home and moved out of state and still had way too much stuff but "The Fun Movers" really worked with me in getting everything into our new house. They did not complain when I asked them to move a few things around to make it fit better. Rob, Reggie, Marc, and Larry were just happy to do the job and make it work! We did get a lot of rain and windy weather the day of the move and I thought about changing dates but they said that I needed to keep the date I had set up because they had another house to move the next day. They even sent an extra mover at no charge to make sure eveything went smooth and remained on schedule! Now that's service! Our overall experience with Legacy Moving Services was Excellent. The men had a great attitude, were very strong and worked very hard to get the job done. I am happy to say there were no damages and all my items arrived on time, safe and in great condition. I highly recommend Legacy Moving Services to anyone that is looking for a local moving company that provides excellent out of state service. Call Doug and his team today!

They are terrible, one of the movers had told us his dispatcher told them to take their time because it was a local move!!!!!! I was like are you freaking serious ????!!!!???? In his words , "milk the job because the client is paying hourly" I was like really !?!??! And they didn't even move our stuff they were pushing our furniture in the truck! They broke my desk, malfunctioned my front load washer , and did I mention they opened my huaband's military box and took some of his military jackets!!! My husband was in the army straight out of high school and kept most of his stuff after getting out and worked for one of the best moving company in Alaska that move military and commercial company and knows what the regulations are when it comes to packing properly! We decided to hire movers just to save us some time and energy!!! Also one of the movers mentioned his boss doesn't like American Express cause you can stop payment right away! Worst moving company ever!! They don't have any professionalism at all!! Also they broke my 2 sons beds !!! DO NOT HIRE THEM! I am reporting them to the BBB !

I wish I would have done more research on this company. There have been several complaints about this company with the BBB and the movers could care less about how things are done. The workers are not professional at all and look like convicted felons and when doing a bak ground check all of them are. Some of my things came up missing and broke when it was brought up nothing could be explained.
