Leonard A. says, "I'm always "nervous" when I hire a stranger to work on an electrical issue. I feel like I'm going to be taken advantage of. Recently I was charged over $1,400 by a local provider. I later found out I was overcharged for 2 pumps and only one of them needed to be 2 speed. Thumbtack was on a recommended site. I did my due-diligence and decided to contact them. Thumbtack had it's own vetting process concerning the job. After they assessed my needs, I was given 3 possible pros, complete with business info, reviews and a rating. Sam was the best choice for me. After i finished my needs/scheduling and sent it to Sam, he contacted me me within an hour to set up our first meeting. He knocked on my door exactly on time. He went to work and assessed the issue for my problem. He needed to order a pump. A few days later he notified me he would install the next morning. I told him rain was in the forecast, no problem. He was on time again, and it rained off and on. He told me to go in and stay dry. He had some issues, new pump had a new configuration and took more time. Later he knocked on the door to tell me it was working properly. It was, me showed me the price of the pump per his invoice. He told the the rest of the fees and how to make my payment online. My bank gave me some problems. He insisted I take my time and and start for home and dry clothes. It took a couple of hours to get him paid, NOT HIS FAULT! This repair later exposed a new issue. I am going to contact him right after I finish this review, and have him return and do the work. Professional, Punctual, and Quality work. That's Sam."See more

Lots of promises and only sub par work. I was super skeptical from the beginning, but Alex couldn’t have done a better job for us. He came out really quickly, diagnosed the leak, and happened to have the parts needed on his truck from a previous job that weren’t used. Boomer Cornwell says, "Cannot recommend McAndrews Hot Tubs enough. We purchased a Strong Spa 2 years ago from another DFW hot tub retailer. It came with a 3-year warranty. However, the dealer stopped selling this brand and thus, decided to stop providing service (even though this is a clear violation of their dealer service agreement). Then our circulation pump stopped working. After multiple attempts to have this retailer adhere to their dealer service agreement, they made it abundantly clear that they were not willing to help us. They gave me several phone numbers to call and wished me good luck. I contacted Ryan at McAndrews. He agreed to help and provide the service we needed, even though it was warranty service and he wasnt going to make much (if any) money on the service call. He ordered the parts and drove from his office in Arlington to my house in McKinney and spent 30 minutes replacing the part and explaining why it stopped working. McAndrews Hot Tubs will definitely be my first phone call any time I need something for my hot tub and I highly recommend anyone do the same!"See more
