1. Brian doesn't do all his own work. He hires out "helpers" to do work. Our particular experience required three different crews of helpers.
2. Brian doesn't deliver on quoted times. Popcorn removal and new texture for our ceilings in our home was quoted as a one week job. As of 11 days since starting, only two areas were given new texture, and they were done in a substandard manner. Not once has a part of the project been completed professionally by the time it was quoted.
3. The people Brian brings in to work are sloppy at their work. Crew #1 was good at being clean, but terrible at applying texture. Crew #2 was fast in removing texture at the expense of letting our entire home get covered in dust and material residue, leaving it looking like it was used in a war movie. Crew #3 was terrible at removing old material from our bedroom and bathroom ceilings, leaving lots of old material still up.
4. After these things happen, Brian will give you countless reasons why things aren't being finished on time or as promised. He will also bring his daughter "whom he's used in the company profile photo" along to the job site. It's hard to be mad around a young lady. He will also tell you about how he gets slammed with calls for other jobs, but that he'll make sure yours is completed. This is usually followed by him not showing up for a whole day while his "helpers" do the work. He will also not be able to give you adequate updates about the work WHEN YOU CALL HIM because he will always say he was "just about to call you" as if not hearing from him in over 24hr is an ok thing.
5. Avoid A&B, this company is terrible. While Brian is new to the business owner role, his years of experience in the contracting field should be making him a quick learner, rather than a less than mediocre choice to do business with.

A&B painting service never worked for this customer. It was a very big project that was going to take a lot of time and hours. I told Jose up front that I work another full time job during the day and I do my business after hours. I mentioned that it would be best for him to hire someone else. He agreed and hired someone else. A&B painting never took part of the project at all.
I normally do all the work myself. I am very responsible and reliable and will be giving updates as your project is going on from start to finish.
