FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Again every job is different but if I have reoccurring work with a customer, I certainly find ways to purchase their materials such as mulch, plants and soil in bulk which saves money. I try to keep these in stock in my storage yard, but they go fast.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I use to automatically send an estimate through Thumbtack because I thought most required it, but it didn't work out well for so many reasons. Firstly, the description isn't enough to accurately bid YOUR job and many folks add work as the project proceeds. If I am allowed to actually see your site, I can clearly understand what is being asked and give YOU a much more accurate estimate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The training I have is all on the job and at my homes over the last 35 years. I have serious and positive experience in landscaping that lasts! Selection of plants that thrive in your specific area is important which seems obvious but I’m constantly surprised at newly planted beds for new homes . . . Just seems like it’s done as a afterthought.
