Jeff and his crew did an excellent job. They removed all the old cabinets and formica countertops, assembled all the new cabinets (RTA ), and had then installed them. He pointed out things that needed addressing and then fixed them. He also made suggestions that would make the final installation look better. We couldn't be happier about the job Jeff did. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing cabinets installed or any other carpentry work done for that matter.

Daniel and his brother did an excellent job installing our kitchen cabinets, countertop and trim. He custom built a trim around an exposed duct for the hood and made it tie into the existing crown moulding. It took creative thinking and initiative to do that. He even added a hinge to allow access to the duct - just shows the thoughtfulness. He went the extra mile (literally) to pick up a cabinet to replace one that we ordered the wrong size and even helped me return the large cabinet that was the wrong size; and that was on top of picking up all of the other cabinets the day before. He also finished off the baseboard in the kitchen to complete it, even though it wasn't something we had talked about prior to starting the job. He was very accommodating, pleasant to work with, and gave good prices. He was also good about responding to texts and calls. He said he comes from a family of carpenters and the workmanship shows. Would definitely consider hiring him for future jobs.

I hired Jose to replace the kitchen cabinets, countertops, and a bar. I am really satisfied with the results. He listened to my requests and worked every detail to get a good quality installation and added knowledgeable suggestions. We had an issue with the corner cabinet, it was smaller than the previous one, and he created the connection and the end piece to make it look seamless. He brought subcontractors for the granite countertops; they fabricated on site. He had a good working relation with them and supervised the whole operation. I ended up paying a bit more than the estimate, but it was due to additional materials I didn’t have for the installation and some extras that improved the overall result, like electrical outlets for the disposal and dishwasher. I recommend him and I will keep calling him back for the rest of the remodel.

Vic and his team provided exceptional services. My project focused on installing a new kitchen base cabinet to replace the original cabinet that was damaged by an extensive water leak. Vic and his coworker provided great cabinetry services! They noticed an additional problem requiring the replacement of drywall near the back wall and offered a resolution to the problem. They sent a video of the problem to me, as I was out of town on business. The problem was corrected. He and his coworker were highly professional, honest, proactive, and very respectful of my home. I highly recommend Vic and rate his services as A+++!!

I liked his bid, but the language barrier was too much to overcome. I had originally scheduled the job to begin on Feb 6. Sat Jan 27 10:10 AM Me: The start date has been pushed back to February 12. You can come by anytime next week To look at what’s required to assemble one of the cabinets. Call when you get a chance and we can set up the time. • Sat Jan 27 10:59 AM Roberto: good morning, then the cabinets arrive after 02/12? • Sat Jan 27 11:33 AM Me: No the rest of the cabinets will be here next week. On the Wednesday before the job was to begin, I sent Roberto an update and to confirm that we were still on for Feb 12 • Wed Feb 7 9:11 AM Me: I am having all the plumbing etc done this weekend. Let's start the demo on Monday morning Feb 12 at 9:00 AM I did not here from Roberto so I sent another message the next day Thu Feb 8 6:46 AM Me: I need to know if you are going to be here Monday morning. I have a plumber scheduled to undo the plumbing Saturday morning which leaves me very little time to find a replacement for the cabinet removal. Please respond this morning. Thu Feb 8 7:49 AM Roberto: good morning, I regret answering late, on Monday if you could go to remove your cabinets but assemble and install the cabinets (your cabinets do not arrive until after day 12) could not until the last week of the month, if you prefer to postpone it a little, in the time to remove cabinets,I remove plumbing (should not be a problem) Thu Feb 8 8:25 AM Me; I am not sure what you are saying. I have the cabinets in my possession. I will assist in assembling the cabinets and I will install the roll out trays. Can you be here Monday? Thu Feb 8 9:11 AM (Roberto responds as if he is talking to Thumbtack) Roberto: I'm sorry so much, I understood that the rest of the cabinets would arrive after 12, so I did not contact him anymore, I can actually remove his cabinets on Monday, but assembling them (between 1 and 2 days) and installing them (2 days) could not until the end of February, beginning of March, we are working on beaumont, I am sorry for the misunderstanding Me: I'm sorry but I cannot wait that long. If you can do the job the week of Feb 19 then I can wait. Otherwise I will have to find another contractor After waiting for reply I decided that I had to see if my second choice contractor was still interested and available Thu 10:33 AM Me: I'm sorry but I have to go with another contractor. Thu 11:19 AM Roberto: ok,I'm sorry so much,I can not guarantee being ready for that week. I would have liked to have used Ardeco because the pictures of his work looked good and he was cheaper than the other bids. Fortunately choice #2 was able to start on Feb 14. It cost me couple hundred more but it could have really screwed up my time line to get the kitchen remodeling done.

We only have so much time and we don’t want to waste it. In December of last I hired Quality Home Repair Discounters (Nick Durbin) of Alvin, Texas to do some work at my home. I found Nick earlier in the month on Thumbtack to hang some cabinets in our utility room and that went well. The job he started on Dec. 14 was supposed to take 2-3 days. The initial job consisted of putting in 6 recessed lights, 4 ceiling fans, removing old flooring in ½ bath & installing travertine and installing a new toilet in the same bathroom. The electrical part of the job went very smoothly. Nick ran into problems with leveling the flooring in ½ bath and laying the travertine. A couple weeks into a 2-3 day job I asked Nick if he could put drawers in lower cabinets in the kitchen and he stated that he could. During the entire process Nick never got to my home any earlier than 10:45 am and usually stayed until 7:30 or 8:00 pm most days. My wife and I left on 12/23 to visit family for Christmas and returned on Christmas Day. Nick assured me he would be finished with the drawers. Feeling confident that he would complete the job I tucked the money away at home and I told him where it was when he said they were done. It was Christmas time and I was led to believe it would be done, I was wrong. When we returned on Christmas day the cabinets didn’t pull out smoothly at all and they were just primed. My wife cried and I tried to comfort her. I called Nick on Monday (12/26) with our concerns and he assured me that he would come on 12/29 to make the repairs. On that day I texted him to let him know where I put the key, he never came. He responded to my text later in the day that he forgot to put me on the schedule but he could come on 12/31 to do the work, I agreed to the date. He got into a wreck that day and he told me it would be a couple of weeks until he could get back to work. Last week I reached out to him about finishing the work and he said that he would put me on the schedule for 1/23 to finish everything. I texted him on that day to let him know where the key was and I never heard back from him. I called him and he has yet to return any of my phone calls. Nick’s character lacks ethical integrity, he’s happy to take money even though he has not completed the work. A person with integrity will work to make it right.
