No dog will be turned away! We regularly train dogs with aggression and reactivity. At JvC K9, we know that every dog deserves a chance at a better life. We offer daycare and boarding (for established training clients only but have excellent pet sitters to refer for non-training clients) and customized training programs that are tailored to fit your dog's unique personality and behavioral needs. Our family has had all kinds of dogs and consider ourselves above average handlers. After our oldest crossed the rainbow bridge, we chose a rescue for our lonely Stevie! The new dog definitely had some issues but we decided to adopt NOT shop and immediately started training classes. Unfortunately, the pet store trainers couldn't handle him and we were not allowed back. Long story short, we tried 3 private trainers, all of whom said he was aggressive and should be euthanized. A co-worker recommended JvC and this was our last resort, having spent thousands on finding a solution already. Within the first session, both of our boys were in a room together unleashed (an impossibility before). We learned what signs to look for and methods to prevent further incidents. Our home is now peaceful and the only regret we have is not finding them sooner!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our base pricing starts within 15 miles of Jersey Village for basic obedience. We are happy to travel to you but distance surcharges will apply for in-home training outside the 15-mile range. We will happily provide an accurate quote with your zip code. Additionally, pricing may also increase for dog and/or human aggression training, which will be communicated after the evaluation session. We offer discounts for clients who are disabled or veterans. Non-profits and clients who are fostering for rescues will also receive discounts.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a quick phone chat to discuss your dog's issues and previous training. Then we discuss your experience with dogs and schedule an evaluation. After the evaluation, you will get pricing for training sessions customized for you.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I purchased a German Shepherd and learned all kinds of training to keep him happy and fulfilled. This led to learning multiple methods using all kinds of tools.
