AJ is a very professional person and made my wedding reception a wonderful event. He worked with me on my limited budget from the start, even contributing the services of his bartender so that we could have the experience we were hoping for. His crew showed up early, took care of every detail, very professional and doing above and beyond what was expected. AJ was on site the entire time of the reception, directing the event, reading the situations so that champagne was ready when needed and the cake ready at the perfect time; I was very happy with every part of it it. The reception was wonderful. The food was within our budget, although I wish we had been able to afford a sit-down dinner; however, even buffet-style, it was good food and presented well, and AJ even had features such as a pineapple tree that was the talk of the place. :) I would very much recommend Red Dot Cuisine to anyone planning a wedding, especially for a situation such as ours, with a limited budget. AJ worked with me and personally made the event much more memorable than I ever expected; we were very happy.
Lori did a fantastic job from answering my initial request for service through thumbtack, to the final minute of my catering event. Her associate, George, who set up and served the outstanding food at the event could not have been more professional and we enjoyed his company. We had a graduation party in our home for our daughter who graduated from UTSA and our son who graduated from Austin High School and EVERYONE loved the food. Arcodoro did a first class job and I will be a loyal customer forever. Also, their restaurant in the Galleria area is fabulous.
Lori did a fantastic job at the Cimarron Elementary School Winter Wonderland. She was friendly, organized, enthusiastic and punctual. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to have a facepainter.
Pam and her team is very knowledgeable with the wedding industry. She was able to find me the perfect vendors and was easy to work with. On the day of my wedding Pam and her team did a wonderful job keeping all of my wedding party together. I highly recommend her for any wedding planning and event planning.
We hired Serendipity Weddings to officiate our beach wedding ceremony, it was a true pleasure working with Mr. Phillip Webb as he was always very professional and responsive, he asked us all of the right questions and made us feel at ease about the whole planning process. He helped us customize our ceremony by including a special reading, sand unity, seashell blessing, as well as ocean themed wording during his readings! We really appreciate his patience and dedication to making time to meet with us to plan all the details for our ceremony. Mr. Webb met with us twice prior to our wedding day and also attended our wedding rehearsal, his suggestions were very helpful!!! We really couldn't have planned our ceremony without his guidance. One thing that was truly special was that he also offered to do the blessing for our dinner service, and they also provided us with a album of beautiful high-quality photos from our wedding ceremony! We didn't expect to get all of the great features we received when we hired Serendipity Weddings, they truly went above and beyond! I highly recommend them for your wedding day, you can count on Mr. Webb! All we heard from our guests was how beautiful and unique our wedding ceremony was, and we agree!!! Jose did a fantastic job at two different events now for us! The first event was our middle school carnival and with Jose as our DJ we saw the kids having more fun then ever! The kids had a blast and actually danced (instead of standing around like middle school kids tend to do)!! Made the event!! And the 2nd time we used Jose's DJ services was at our 8th grade dance. Everyone had so much fun and Jose did a great job at mixing things up and getting these kids out dancing and having a blast! The floor was rarely empty and we heard the kids saying "Best dance ever"! He came early and set everything up and even gave us a copy of the music from the night! Not to mention that he was very courteous and very understanding of the music limitations we have at a school event and tailored his set accordingly. Will definitely use again!!! You should too if you want a great event!!!
My husband and I had wanted a destination wedding in Jamaica and luckily we were able to find Moments of Purpose. Desiree was our wedding planner / travel agent. Although there were a few bumps in the road, her hard work and care ensured our day was stress-free and enjoyable. She paid close attention to detail and made sure our family members who were joining us were comfortable. When the wedding day came she was there by my side for anything I needed. She truly felt like a part of our family and made our special day a dream come true!
Wow! What an amazing experience! We had a huge event coming up. Two weeks before the event we realized we were in way over our head. We found 'All things Love' and the owner Samantha had no hesitation to take on the task. We were very picky! We needs gluten free, vegetarian, sound sensories, and a very organized planned. All things Love delivered and on the day of the event we were at ease to just mingle. Samantha was understanding, confident, and delivered everything she promised! I won't ever have another event that doesn't have All things Love as the planner/coordinator!
Very Good Experience with D.J. Shawn Johnson. I first hired him to D.J. my friend 30th Birthday Party, he was very professional, polite, & catered to the crowd with his genre of music. Therefore, I recommended him to my cousin for his sons' high school graduation party he recieved the same treatment. I recently contracted him to D.J. my 40th Birthday Party I know he'll do an exceptional job.
My husband and I got married in September 2014 and started planning our wedding in January. We knew we wanted to have the wedding at our home but we wanted it to have all of the regular things a wedding has: full dinner, dancing, full bar, dj, etc so I knew hiring a Wedding Planner would help things run a lot more smoothly. I am kind of a control freak and I really wanted to plan most everything myself, so I really just needed a day of coordinator. I found Sharon Peoples off of Thumbtack after searching through countless other coordinators websites and even a couple over-the-phone and in person interviews. Sharon blew us away the day we met her. She came to our home for the meeting and immediately began taking notes and giving us ideas. Planning a wedding at your home is a pretty daunting task, or at least it was for us since we had just moved in a few months prior and we had a lot of work we wanted to do. Being January, all of our plants and grass were pretty much dead (or looked that way) but Sharon didn't flinch a bit when we told her we envisioned getting married in our backyard. She gave us a ton of information and ideas before we ever signed the contract and then she went over all of the details over what her packages included. She recommended we go with her Lady in Waiting package which is essentially a day-of coordinator package like we were looking for. However Sharon provided WAY more help which began immediately for us. She recommended vendors and exchanged innumberable emails with us leading up to the big day. She even met with a vendor for me when I was unable, and took over all of our vendors the month prior to the wedding. A few weeks before the big day she came again to our home to see how everything was coming along and go over the timeline with us. She again made lots of notes and recommendations on how to get things to run smoothly and she really listened to us as far as what kind of feel we were going for. We really didn't want things to seem too planned or scheduled. We wanted everything to just flow naturally while still adhering as close as possible to a timeline. The day of the wedding Sharon and her assistant (part of her business includes training other event planners) arrived on time. Her assistant's help is included in the original cost and they were BOTH amazing! Sharon immediately began seeing to everything that needed to be set up all while explaining to her assistant what the plan was and how we wanted everything set up. Sharon was an extremely professional and dependable coordinator who went out of her way to make our wedding run flawlessly! I was truly amazed that there were no hiccups during our wedding, and that everything just seem to happen so effortlessly! I would encourage anyone planning a wedding to hire Event Planners of Houston to help out EVEN if you are planning on keeping it simple or doing most everything your self. I really couldn't put a price on how nice it was for my husband, our families and I to just be able to relax the day of the wedding and not worry about what time it was or what should be happening next. Hiring Sharon was by far the BEST decision we made in planning our wedding and we are already discussing hiring her for future parties or events that we might have in the future.
Words can not even express how thankful I am that I found Events by Momo for my wedding. Truly the greatest experience with Moon and the whole staff from beginning to end. Momo is a full service events company, she helped me with every aspect of my wedding from tenting, to vendors, to phenomenal catering. Moon was in direct contact with me constantly, she helped me with choices and even helped me save money and stick with my budget. I hired her for day of wedding planning but she went above and beyond with helping me leading up to the wedding. She was so calm and go with the flow, exactly what I needed. Kristin assisted us with planning our daughter's wedding that took place in Montgomery, Texas. We engaged her pretty early in the process and she was able to take our ideas and help us bring them to reality. She really listened to what we wanted and then went to work on it. She was totally tuned in to our tastes and did things that I considered to be "above and beyond", and actually saved us money in the process. Blue Collar Diva (Cassy) did an amazing job transforming a simple room into a room of beauty. For a 50th Anniversary the room glimmered with lights and beautiful decor. I highly recommend Cassy. She is an awesome party planner and is very sweet to work with.

Shaun Gray and his team did a great job when we hired their services for hosting my son's surprise high school graduation party. The décor was exactly what I wanted, food was amazing and people kept asking me the caterer's name. I told them Shaun found the caterer. Everything was delivered and set up on time and the party events went off exactly as planned. Shaun responded to emails promptly and was very flexible to accommodate last minute changes. .Overall it was a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Sage Productions have done a few events for us and their work has surpassed my expectations. From the DJ'ing to the ambient lighting, they really know how to set the mood according to the theme! My wedding was on October 10th, I know, I have procrastinated and taken a long time to write my review. But it's always easy to put into words, when you have a bad experience! It's not as easy finding the right words, when everything goes well, which has been my case. Ryan and Brittany were absolutely wonderful! I couldn't have asked for anything better, especially on such short notice, and within my budget. I opted not to have a wedding planner, as I just couldn't find exactly what I wanted for a good price. I had a few concerns about timing and announcements and the dances and cake cutting and when to eat, i kept thinking ' how am I going to get all this done, and let people know, and WHEN do I do it?' Well, the beat connection really delivered, they were there to help through it all, between corralling everyone for announcements and dances, to even let me know when we were needing to get on with some things or when Brittany noticed that we had forgotten the cakes at the hotel ;). Overall, they made my day spectacular, I didn't have to worry about a thing! I couldn't have asked for a better DJ! Thank you guys so much!
I am so happy that Angel was the one that helped me plan my bridal shower. She was professional, kept in contact, easy to work with and was organized when it came to this important event in my life. I am not creative when it comes to throwing a party and I wanted someone to help me create a unique shower. Angel has such an eye when it comes to creating the perfect shower with decorations, location and even down to the food fitting in perfectly with the theme. I chose to hire someone for my shower because I wanted to make sure things ran smoothly without having to put the stress on family and friends. I cannot stress enough how wonderful it was to have Angel there for my bridal shower. Everything was set up perfectly and I received so many compliments after it was over to how organized and beautiful the shower turned out.
