FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always taking classes, attending seminars, and reading construction trade magazines. Education is a piece of my daily routine. Part of what I enjoy about the job is that there is always something new to learn. In addition to the required continuing education hours, I unwind most evenings with trade magazines and industry articles.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When my wife and I were purchasing our first house I had such a great experience with our home inspections. Even with my background in roofing, plumbing, and remodeling, he still caught things that saved me huge amounts of money. I was inspired to learn more about the home as a dynamic system and become an inspector myself.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I provide presale inspections for people selling their homes, and prepurchase inspections for clients in the process of buying a home. I have provided thorough inspections first time homebuyers to investors.
