The party was lovely. The decorations were adorable and just what I had in mind. The crew worked seamlessly and with a smile om their faces, making guests feel completely at ease. Kristin and her mom worked tirelessly and made it look effortless. By far, the thing about this party that went the most right was Kristin and her crews. Set up to clean up, it was a well oiled operation. Many of my friends are party throwers as well, and they all demanded to know who the planner was. Could not be more satisfied. I have used thumbtack many times for projects and have been bummed every time except for with Kristin. Would highly recommend over and over again for your vintage affair.

Jaime Dilger was hired as the party planner for my Husband's 80th birthday party. One of the most important items I wanted complete was a slide show about his life from old pictures. We worked together for about 12 weeks on the slide show and the planning of the birthday party. Jaime set up dropbox so we could share photo for the slideshow. Jaime created a great slideshow with special effects. She also got quotes from 3 hotels and interviewed the caterer manager with me at each hotel. She worked with me on the menu, set up of the ballroom and decorations. She oversaw details and took pictures of the party. Jaime is very computer literate and is strong on power point. She is also very creative. She works hard for her client and I would feel comfortable recommending her services to my friends.

I hired this party planner through Thumbtack for my son's 1st birthday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Several requested items were not provided despite being invoiced for: thank you tags for favor bags, fuel for chafing dishes and several décor items that had been discussed in advance. The most significant issue involved the food coordination. The party food was delivered to the wrong address, which resulted in a lot of stress with one of the servers having to leave the venue and drive more than 30 minutes away to retrieve it. This left the event short-staffed during an important time. When the food was finally picked up, three main menu items were missing and had to be reordered directly from the restaurant on our expense. Those items did not arrive until approximately three hours after the party had started, meaning many guests were unable to enjoy the full meal as planned. Throughout the process, I was looking for clear communication and updates. When I asked for specifics about what was happening, I was simply told to "calm down" and that everything was being handled. Unfortunately, there was very little accountability or proactive communication regarding the problems that occurred. I understand that unexpected issues can happen with any event, but how those issues are managed matters. Based on my experience, I would encourage future clients to ask detailed questions about logistics, communication, and contingency planning before hiring.
