I was truly blessed to find Nora of Woodlands Drapery and Design when I needed to do numerous window treatments and redecorate the entire interior of my home. She is amazing. I built a colonial period brick home with 6 white columns, colonial woodwork with period build-in details reminiscent of colonial estates in Virginia. Nora researched the literature and created window and room designs that were fresh new style adaptations of those old historical homes. Her designs accentuate the architectural elements. Creativity and attention to detail is quite an understatement with her designs, finished product and even difficult installations. She tirelessly searched all over for the perfect fabrics, trims, and hardware for each project.
What is somewhat unique about her is that most designers havenât actually constructed and sewn their own window creations like Nora. Others will turn them over to seamstresses to interpret, and who donât always deliverâ¦.I have been there before. She knows what it will look like, whatâs possible and can make it happen! She was impressive in her ability to listen and closely work with my ideas too. Quite frankly, it was delightful and fun. From her multiple layered window treatments, multi-panel bay windows, bed canopies, swags and textured sheers, reconfiguring existing treatments, trims, tassels, beading, pillows, bedding to chair covers and sofa re-upholstery everything is exquisite! I love every special detail and friends and family are stunned when they see my beautiful home. I have recommended Nora to friends and they too are very pleased with her work in their homes and grateful they took my recommendation!
She went above and beyond accommodating my schedule and added touches I couldnât even imagine! Nora is delightful and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to hire an experienced designer who really listens to her clients and delivers in every way!
