Spanish Lessons

My son really enjoyed his first lesson with his tutor for Spanish. Our goal is for him to become more fluent and accelerate his learning. The tutor is a college student and was really patient and good at teaching

Science Tutoring

Sean has been professional and accommodating. He's been able to adapt his high school physics lessons for our 11 year old well and roll with our unusual guy.

Singing Lessons

We did a virtual singing class for my shy 5 year old. We were paired up with Laura who was just the sweetest. I thoroughly enjoyed the ease of set up and the quickness of our set up. I’ll keep using Tutorfly for this upcoming school year. I was a bit worried about homeschooling, but I’m glad I found this resource to utilize.

Brendan is amazing, he had my lessons and was prepared to answer and problem solve all my questions. He was patient and easy talk to and not imitating like most Physics peeps. He also had a backup plan when our meet up was crowded. Now that we have a game plan, I look forward to Brendan helping me get a A in Physics!

Erica has worked with my children for about two months now and has exceeded all of my expectations! She is extremely professional, and committed to my children’s learning. Erica also works very well with kids by making them feel comfortable and lovingly keeping them on task, while also encouraging and challenging them. She provides notes form their sessions as well as homework related to the subjects discussed and other appropriate topics. I decided to get a tutor for my kids due to my not wanting them to fall behind as a result of the shelter in place related COVID -19’s need for distance learning. Initially, I was going to have their tutor be someone used in conjunction with distance learning and discontinue the aide at the end of the school year. However, I’ve now decided to have them continue to use her services through the summer and as long as possible and needed. My kids actually look forward to their sessions! I am very thankful for Erica and appreciate all she’s done! \n\n-Jackie M.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Most tutors charge $25/hour for 1:1 tutoring and there are never any hidden fees nor upfront costs. Clients pay on a per-session basis and we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, or you get your money back. Tutorfly Tutors keep 100% of what clients pay and we don’t take any commissions. (Online sessions and in-person sessions are the same price.)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    1. Speak over the phone to learn more about your student to make a recommendation. 2. Connect you directly with the tutor so you can talk with him/her. 3. Book a session through the Tutorfly site and enjoy! :) We personally recommend an academic tutor that doubles as a role model for your student.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our Tutorfly Tutors are in the top 10% of their classes in high schools and universities like Stanford, UC Berkeley, Princeton, and NYU. They have ample experience working with students of all ages and have progressed through a 4 step vetting process that tests for knowledge, creativity, and empathy.
