I'm friendly, punctual and sympathetic to a household's changing needs. Change Happens. It's inevitable. How we deal with the changes affects our outlook on life. Hiring a professional organizer to help us through the changes is a positive step for many people. The overwhelming feeling of being out of control is solved. When I arrive and the homeowner says, "I am so glad you are here!" Then, when I leave, the house is back to a functioning home. I help people organize what feels like an insurmountable amount of daily stuff. It gets to be too much and they feel out of control. As an impartial person, I don't have the attachments to their items that cause many people to stop dead in their tracks & get stuck. Being able to free them is a great gift!

My experience with debra was great. She's a sweet lady who kept me on track when helping me organize. We only had short pockets of time before my kids returned home from school each day and she made sure we were efficient and strategic with our organizing plan. I will definitely use her again!

I have bought Debra's design products and I have also used her services as a long arm quilter and machine embroiderer. Her work is impecable, and she is a creative person with an unique design perspective. She specializes is reusing materials to achieve a vibrant and eclectic look. I've enjoyed working with her and using her machine embroidery, longarm quilting, and design expertise for more than ten years. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The Organized Home services begin at $30/hour with a 3 hour minimum. Debra Dixon Design is a specialized service. An initial consultation is $75 per hour. Additional service fees are dependent upon the scope of the project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to chat on the phone before going to a person's home. It gives us both a chance to get to know each other.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in home economics which is the efficient management of a home. I offer 2 services: home organization & home decoration. For larger remodeling jobs, I work with a general contractor and we have a full team of craftsmen.
