Introduction
I am a professional pianist, teacher/coach and consultant with over 35 years of experience in arts education and musical theatre. I work with people of all abilities, ages, and experience levels. I coach beginner students with a focus on learning to read notes and rhythms, and establishing proper hand technique. As we go, I like to introduce chord concepts. I play and teach all styles of music. Learning to read and understand music can be a magical experience as a student begins to “unlock” the printed notes waiting to be heard!
My strengths are in connecting with students to help them realize their musical goals. My sessions begin with learning about the students' interests and current skills, and we build from there- all while celebrating the joy of creating music.

Our son is working with Mr Mitch virtually on improving his skills with the piano. It is extremely gratifying to hear them enthusiastically working on songs which my son enjoys. Mr Mitch tailors his lessons to keep my son engaged and interested while further developing his piano playing ability.
